Conditions of Entry
1. Cattle may not be removed before 3:00pm
2. All cattle over 4 months must have appropriate nose grips and all bulls over 12 months must have a nose ring. All exhibitors or representatives MUST be in charge of their stock at all times. (a) Cattle 20 months and under are be shown in the junior section. (b) Cattle up to 48 months will be shown in the senior section. Affiliated Show may have a senior up to any age class. Age for classification as at 1 May 2019.
3. Cattle must not be introduced unless they are from a property or herd in which Joh e’s Disease has ot ee k o , or suspe ted to e ist, duri g a fi e ear period prior to the show.
4. All Exhibitors are to have Public Liability insurance and have same endorsed for travel to and from Shows.
5. All persons intending to bring electrical equipment to the Showgrounds are required to ensure that such equipment is fitted with residual current protection and that all electrical leads, tools and appliances have been inspected and currently tagged by a licenced electrical contractor.
6. Risks identified by exhibitors/competitors will be eliminated or controlled by the
exhibitor/competitor and particular attention will be paid to ensuring public safety and the safety of other exhibitors/competitors.
7. It is the responsibility of each exhibitor to ensure that the leaders of their cattle in judging ring and parades are capable of exercising control over the animals in their
care. Children under 12 years of age leading cattle in the Grand Parade are to be accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age.
8. Each exhibitor/competitor will assess the risk to themselves, staff, volunteers, family, other exhibitors, show stewards, show visitors and any person foreseeably
affected by the presentation of their exhibit.
9. The exhibitors/competitors are required to ensure that they and all persons under their direction or control comply with all requirements of the Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995 and the Society holds each exhibitor responsible to discharge its
obligations to provide and maintain a safe system of work during occupation by the exhibitor/competitor of any area of the Showgrounds.
10. Stewards have the right to remove any animal from the judging ring if that animal is a danger to the safety of any person or animal. 11. DPI Stock Permits are the responsibility of exhibitors. All cattle must be accompanied by a DPI Travel Permit, endorsed with treatment performed if necessary) an Owner Waybill.
12. Tick Clearance: Livestock from clean areas must be sprayed by the Society and a permit obtained before leaving the grounds to return to clean areas. Approved spray area has been provided by the Show Society. It is the responsibility of the owner or person in charge of the stock to ensure that he cattle tick requirements (where necessary) have been fulfilled.
13. It is forbidden to administer any prohibited drug or cause one to be administered in any form whatsoever.
14. A drug means any substance originating externally to the animal (whether or not endogenous to the animal) capable of affecting the performance or behaviour of an animal by its action upon central or peripheral nervous system, the cardiovascular system, the respiratory system, the alimentary system, the muscle-skeletal system or the uro-genital system and shall Include analgesics, anti-histamines, anti- inflammatory agents, blood coagulants, diuretics, hormones and their synthetic counterparts, cortico-steroids, anabolic steroids, local anaesthetics, muscle relaxants, tranquillizers and vitamins.
15. Any exhibit that has been brought to the Showgrounds and is found to have had administered to it any prohibited drug as defined above may be asked to leave immediately.
16. All adult animals must have been fully accepted for registration in the Herd Books of the respective breeds. All animals not of age for registration must be the progeny of registered sires and dams recorded in the calf register of the respective Breed Societies. Proof must be available.
17. Breeds are to be judged in three groups—Indicus, European and British.

- 15—25yrs (Winners eligible to enter Sub Chamber Competition —Saturday, 18th May) Sub-Chamber Competition—Saturday, 18th May The Hormel Slide must be used at all levels in the Young Judges Competitions.
To be eligible for the State Finals, competitors must comply with all of these rules. Local Show Rules
Competitors must be over 15 and under 25 years of age on 1st May in the year of the State Final.
1. Competitors under 18 years of age must have the approval of a parent or guardian to compete.
2. Competitors are to be a resident in Queensland or attending an educational institution in Queensland for at least three months prior to competing unless they qualify under Rule 4.
3. Competitors residing over the border who can prove an affinity with a Queensland Show are allowed entry provided they satisfy one of the following criteria— (a) Their address has a Queensland postcode (b) They have a Queensland phone number (C) The competitor or their parents are active working members of the Show
4. National winners or persons on a National Judging Panel for that event are eligible to compete.
Sub-Chamber Rules Rules 1– 5 in the local 5. Sub-Chambers will decide the number of competitors from each Show who will compete at their final. 6. Competitors can represent only one Sub-Chamber in the State Final. 7. A State Final Entry form must be completed by the winner of each competition immediately after judging and forwarded to the QCAS State Office by the Sub- Chamber Secretary/Coordinator.
State Finals Rules
Rules 1-5 in the local Show Rules apply to all State Finals.
8. Sub-Chamber is to be represented by Sub-Chamber winner. If he/she is unable to compete the next highest placed available contestant is eligible. 9. Competitors can represent only one Sub-Chamber in the State Final. 10. The winners of the RNA competitions will be invited to compete in the State Final provided they are eligible under the local Show rules (1-5)
In all competitions four exhibits numbered 1, 2, 3 and 4 are to be used (to suit the scoring from the Hormel Slide). If possible, all competitions should have the following classes: Stud Cattle 3 classes to be used (e.g. British, Tropical, European) I. Winners of this competition are eligible to complete at the Sub- Chamber finals being held at Blackbutt Agricultural Show on 18th May 2019. II. Winner and Runners Up should ensure their entry forms are forwarded to the Sub-Chamber Secretary and Blackbutt Show Society as soon as possible. III. To be eligible for the Stare Finals competitors must comply with all of these rules.
These competitions are designed to determine the Parader who presents and paraders and animal before a judge most effectively. Paraders will parade their animals in a clockwise manner as is normal in cattle judging ring at the discretion of the judge.
1. Competitors must be over 15 and under 25 years of age on 1st May in the year of the State Finals.
2. Competitors under 18 years of age must have the approval of a parent or guardian to compete.
3. Competitors are be resident in Queensland or attending and educational institution in Queensland for at least three months prior to competing unless they qualify under Rule 4.

4. Paraders must be willing to swap animals if required
Sub—Chamber Finals I. Winners of this competition are eligible to complete at the Sub-Chamber finals being held at Blackbutt Agricultural Show on 18th May 2019. II. Winner and Runners Up should ensure their entry forms are forwarded to the Sub- Chamber Secretary and Blackbutt Show Society as soon as possible. III. Membership and Support
The Society welcomes new members who must be nominated by two current financial members and accepted by the Board of Management. Application forms are available from the Secretary.
Membership Fees for 2019 are $15.00 per member. Members are entitled to vote at General Meetings and to have free admission to the Show for themselves and their children.
Membership Fees are due on 1 September each year.
