The Swedish Shooting Sport Federation has the great pleasure and honour to invite you to the ISSF World Championship Running Target in 2012.

As one of the highlights of the 100 years celebration of the Olympic Games in Stockholm 1912, the 10m events of the ISSF World Championship Running Target will be organized in close vicinity to the old Olympic Stadium where different anniversary activities will take place at the same time as the ISSF World Championship Running Target.

The first part of the ISSF World Championship Running Target, the 50m events for men and men junior, will be organized in the city of Västerås 120 km west of Stockholm Arlanda international airport.

RULES & REGULATIONS All competitions will be conducted under the current ISSF Rules and Regulations, except that the appearance of the 50m target will differ from ISSF Rule 6.3.2.7.1. Please see enclosed picture.

ENTRY PROCESS Preliminary Entries Each national federation entering the ISSF World Championship Running Target must submit a preliminary entry (Annex 1) not later than 15 November 2011. Please use the online registration at: http://entry.issf‐sports.info

Final Entries All Final entries must be made directly to the ISSF Headquarters not later than 2 May 2012. Please use the online registration at: http://entry.issf‐sports.info

Late Entries Late entries can only be accepted according to ISSF rule 3.7.3.4 and will incur an additional penalty fee of Euro 50 for each shooter entered in each event.

ENTRY FEE Euro 170 per shooter/per event Euro 50 per official Euro 50 for a late entry (additional for each shooter in each event –according to ISSF rule 3.7.3.4.3)

PAYMENT A 80 % deposit of the entry fees and a 80 % deposit of the accommodation costs must be transferred to the Organizing Committee by 2 April 2012 at the latest. Each national federation may transfer 100 % of the fees and costs prior to arrival. The balance of any payment for fees and costs must be paid in cash (Euro only) at the Registration office upon arrival.

All payments must be net of any bank commission for the transfer of money.

VISA After receiving the Visa Support (Annex 7) the Organizing Committee will provide the Federation with an Official Invitation (please note: for the period of the World Championship only) from the Swedish Shooting Sport Federation to assist those countries that are required to apply for their visas at the Swedish Embassy or Consulate in their respective countries.

FIREARMS All participating federations must register their rifles on the Arms and Ammunition Declaration (Annex 8) by 2 April 2012 at the latest.

The Organizing Committee will then apply for the special permission by the Swedish authorities. The charge for an approved arms and ammunition declaration is Euro 80 for each team entering the country together.

Shooters from the Scandinavian countries Finland, Norway and Denmark do not need this special permission, however they must provide the invitation letter to the customs together with the European firearms passport or their national gun license.

ARM STORAGE It is not allowed to take any arms and ammunition out of the shooting range. There will be arm storage at the range in Västerås as well as in Stockholm.

ACCOMMODATION The Organizing Committee has arranged one hotel in Västerås for the 50m events and one hotel in Stockholm for the 10m events.

The reservation can only be considered confirmed once the Final Hotel Reservation Form (Annex 5) and Final Rooming list (Annex 6) and the deposit of 80 % of the total accommodation costs have been received by the Organizing Committee within the deadline 2 May 2012.

Rooms will be allocated to teams on a first come, first served basis.

In case of cancellation after 2 May 2012 and/or no‐show you will be charged a cancellation fee of 100 % to the costs for all nights and rooms you have booked.

Please note that the hotels will not take direct bookings, they will only take bookings from the Organizing Committee.

All room rates are calculated per person/per night incl. tax.

Hotel Tapto is a personal and cosy hotel with high standard and an individual touch in central Stockholm with shopping, restaurants and pleasure within walking distance. The hotel is situated in a residential area at 5‐10 minutes walking distance from the shooting range (500m). You will find the nearest subway station 550m from the hotel.

Except for the breakfast buffet the hotel also serve all guests afternoon coffee/tea and a complimentary evening meal every day.

Food service There will be a cafeteria at the shooting range in Västerås offering a light lunch meal, sandwiches etc.

In Stockholm there will be a variety of lunch restaurants in the neighbourhood of the shooting range and a small cafeteria at the range.

TRANSPORTATION The official pick up service at the airport starts at the first official arrival day 1 June. Delegations arriving earlier or leaving after the official departure day have to make their own arrangements.

The cost for the transport from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Västerås will be Euro 30 per person.

There will be a bus service between the hotel and the shooting range in Västerås.

The 50m events will be finished on Monday 4 June in Västerås. On Tuesday morning 5 June there will be a bus transport from the hotel in Västerås to the hotel in Stockholm where the 10m events will be organized.

RANGES There will be two (2) 50m targets equipped with the SIUS S25/50 and the enclosed picture of the wild boar. The firing direction is NW.

There will be four (4) 10m SIUS targets, model 941.

ANTI DOPING Anti doping tests will be conducted according to the ISSF Rules.

CEREMONIES The opening ceremony will take place on Saturday 2 June at the residence of the county governor of Västmanland in the county capital Västerås. Victory ceremonies will be conducted each day after the last competition.

There will be a short closing ceremony in connection with the victory ceremony on Saturday 9 June. On the same day there will be a closing banquet. The fee will be Euro 25 including one soft drink and buffet.

All delegations are requested to bring two (2) flags (approximately 2 m long) and their national anthem on a CD.

WEATHER CONDITIONS The mean daily maximum temperature in June in Västerås and Stockholm is 20° C and the mean daily minimum is 11° C. Normally there will be 8 days with some rain in June. Sunrise is at 03.30 and sunset at 22.00.
