The project proponents are requested to send the project details in respect of establishment/identification of violation (by SEIAA/MoEF&CC) in the format as per Annexure-I, Annexure-II, Annexure-III & Annexure-IV. (1) The project proponents should submit the Form-1, Pre-feasibility report for TOR along with other requisite documents, Environment Impact Assessment Report, public hearing report, queries subsequently raised by the Ministry, if any including details of the court matters/Orders of the Court pertaining to the project if any, in original, duly signed by the company authorized signatory for Environmental Clearance, well in advance before meeting to Ministry’s project section or utmost at the time of presentation, without which the proposal will not be considered. Note:Submit a copy of each of above documents - Hard and Soft Copies (CD) to the Member secretary, Violation (Note: Not by Name) by speed post so as to reach well in time. (ii) Compliance Report from Regional Office, MoEF&CC (Applicable for projects already having EC). (iii) The KML/Shape files should be emailed to mentioned at para No. 7 below at least 5 days prior to the meeting. (iv) The above all documents are required to be forwarded to the Chairman/Members of the Expert Appraisal Committee along with soft copy. 2 All the documents including the hard copy of the presentation material should be legible and printed on both sides on ordinary paper. In case the members of the Expert Appraisal Committee do not receive the proposals/documents before the meeting, the Committee will not consider the project. 3 The Project Proponent or his or her authorized representative /consultant should avoid delivery of documents by hand and seeking meeting with Chairman/Members. Members are also requested to discourage/ avoid the meeting with the PP/ consultants.

    DETAILED PROJECT NOTE ON PROJECT OF WIDENING OF BARAMATI-PHALTAN- LONAND TO SHIRWAL ROAD S.H.10/70, DIST. PUNE/SATARA (M.S.) As per the decision taken by the Government of Maharashtra in the meeting held on 18th August 2009 with the Committee of Fundamental Facilities, it is decided to implement the up -gradation of various National Highway carriage-way configuration for capacity augmentation for safe and efficient movement of traffic either through its own budgetary resources or on design built, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis under National Highway Development Programme. The said, 1980 highway. S.H.-10 connects Phaltan- Lonand-Shirwal places, which are industrially well developed and generate large amount of vehicular traffic. The existing road is two lane undivided carriageway and is inadequate to widen the exiting road to cope up with the increasing traffic. Justification, necessity & reasoning for width widning of existing alignment- The existing project road of approx. 7.5 mt. width passes through Forest area of the village Ruhi, Andori in Khandala Tahsil and the village Kalaj & Kashidwadi in Phaltan Tahsil, of dist. Satara. This road was constructed well before 1980 i.e. before F.C. Act-1980. As per Revenue & Forests, Govt. of Maharashtra guidelines letter no. FLD/3902/case-9/F- 10Dt.24/06/2003, for such linear projects requiring widening or improvement in width, area required for widening if passes through Forest attracts the provisions of Forest Conservation Act. Considering this fact, 1.997 ha. Forest area is required for the purpose of widening and strengthening of the existing road.

This study is essential to understand the economic base of urban region is vital importance in understand our city level of development. Because occupation is one of the parameters by which one can measure the level of economic development of the Phaltan Tahsil. Here the working population which is engaged in different economic activities, these are divided into nine categories. The occupational structure of Phaltan Tahsil is an increase in the percentage of people engaged in tertiary activities. In this reference a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on December 3, 2008 between the Central Water Commission (CWC) and National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to execute the project “Generation of Database and Implementation of Web enabled Water resources Information System in the Country” short named as India-WRIS WebGIS. India-WRIS WebGIS has been developed and is in public domain since December 2010 (www.india- wris.nrsc.gov.in). It provides a ‘Single Window solution’ for all water resources data and information in a standardized national GIS framework and allow users to search, access, visualize, understand and analyze comprehensive and contextual water resources data and information for planning, development and Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). Basin is recognized as the ideal and practical unit of water resources management because it allows the holistic understanding of upstream-downstream hydrological interactions and solutions for management for all competing sectors of water demand. The practice of basin planning has developed due to the changing demands on river systems and the changing conditions of rivers by human interventions.

Monthly variations in the physical and chemical parameters such as atmospheric temperature, water temperature, transparency, pH, dissolved oxygen, total alkalinity, total hardness, chlorides, sulphates, total dissolved solids were investigated for a period of one year (October 2007 to September 2008).All parameters were within permissible limits. This represents that the reservoir is non-polluted and can be used for agriculture, fish culture and domestic use. Keywords: Physico-chemical, Mhaswad, Water reservoir. INTRODUCTION Water is said as the liquid of life and is the essence of all living processes. Water is the unique component of nature and play an important role in the life from molecules to man. Hence the great human civilization has originated, evolved and flourished around water resources. The quality of water is described by its physical, chemical and biological characteristics. Numerous anthropogenic activities like disposal of sewage, industrial water, recreational activities, excess use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides has threatened environmental health of both surface and ground water. It is therefore necessary that the quality of drinking water should be checked at regular time interval because use of contaminated water, human population suffers from a variety of water borne diseases.
