By order dated 29.01.2015, the respondents No.8 to 18 were directed to file compliance in respect stoppage of discharging,/dumping indusrriai rvastes by respondent No. 19 to 26 on Alam Khal. Boalkhali Khal and Gorulota Khal t1or,,.ing through the villages of No.5 Habilashdweep Union under, Potia lJpazilla, District Chittagong and were also directed to
continue monitoring fuli compliance of the order regarding stoppage of lifting undergronnd
water by deep tubeweils and aiso stoppage of discharging their industrial wastes in the
agricultural land and in nearby canels by respondents No.19 ta 26 and shut down all industries which do not have environment clearance certihcate duly issued and/or renewed by the Department of Environment. The said respondents No.8 to 18 were also directed to take appropriate steps against ail industries and factodes, which are poliuting the low-lying areas and the canels and lifting undergroun 26.8.2015 thev were allowed f.rrther two weeks tirne to submit their compliance. Accordinglv, respondents No.2, 9 and 12 filed their respective affidavits of compliance on 15.09.2015 but rest of the respondents have not filed any affidavit till date inspite of granting S(eight) weeks time wE and 15.09.2015 it is apparent that they have willfully disregarded and violated the aforesaid three orders and thereby continuing violation of the orders of this Court, which amounts to contempt of Cour1. Accordingly, the said respondents No.S, 10, 11 and 13 to 18 are directed to appear in person before this Court on22.11.2A15 at 10.30 AM, without fail, and explain their position as to why contempt Rule shall not be issued against them for willfully disregarding/violating the aforesaid three orders dated 29.01.2A15.26.08.2015 and 15.09.2015 of this Courl and thereby why they will not be delt with in accordance with law.
