She is now in her 12th season on the Holy Cross coaching staff, including 10 seasons as the associate head coach.

McInerney was named interim head coach of the Crusaders on January 31, 2019. After she assumed head coaching duties, Holy Cross finished the 2018-2019 regular season with a 6-3 record and advanced to the semifinal round of the Patriot League Championship for the first time since 2013-2014. The Crusaders finished the year with an 18-13 record, their best overall record since the 2013-2014 season. Freshman Avery LaBarbera was named the Patri- ot League Rookie of the Year, while junior Lauren Manis, who ranked second in the league in points and rebounds per game, was an All-Patriot League first team selection.

During McInerney’s tenure on the coaching staff, Holy Cross has advanced THE MCINERNEY FILE to the Patriot League Championship Game three times (2012, 2013 and 2014). In 2013-14, with McInerney’s guidance, the Crusaders started the year COLLEGE CAREER 11-3 and matched their best start in school history at 6-0. That year, Holy College Assumption College (1989) Cross ultimately finished with a 20-12 record, their first 20-win season since (Worcester, Mass.) 2005; as the fifth seed in the Patriot League Tournament, Holy Cross knocked off fourth-ranked Bucknell and top-seeded Navy en route to a spot in the Bachelor’s Degrees: Psychology, conference title game. Elementary Education McInerney joined the Crusaders in 2008 after spending one season as an as- COACHING EXPERIENCE sistant coach at Harvard, where the Crimson captured their 11th Ivy League Head Coach 1990-92 - Nichols title after posting an 11-3 league record. In 2004, Holy Cross she was named both the Northeast Regional Coach of the Year and North- Assistant Coach 1989-90 - Nichols east-10 Conference Coach of the Year. She was also named the 2004 New 1992-94 - Merrimack England Basketball Hall of Fame Division II Coach of the Year. McInerney began her career at Merrimack in 1992, when she was an assistant coach for 1994-99 - Bentley the women’s basketball team for two seasons. 2007-08 - Harvard 2008-09 - Holy Cross Prior to her success at Merrimack, McInerney spent five seasons as an as- sistant coach at Bentley, where she helped guide the Falcons to four con- ference championships, three conference tournament championships, four HEAD COACHING NCAA Division II Elite Eight appearances, and one Final Four appearance. CAREER RECORDS While at Bentley, she helped the team to a 139-23 record. McInerney began her career as the head coach at from At Holy Cross 8-5 1990-1992, compiling a 32-17 record. Division I 31-39 Overall 182-121 A 1989 graduate from Assumption College, McInerney was the all-time leading scorer for the Greyhounds at the completion of her career. She was named the Northeast-10 women’s basketball Player of the Year in 1989 and is a member of both the Assumption College and Northeast-10 Conference Athletic Hall of Fame. She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary edu- cation and psychology.
