Representatives from companies such as Blue Shield of California, Chevron, Deloitte and Kaiser Permanente, along with several other businesses, “drafted” a team of four student associates to work at an entry- level job at the company during the upcoming school year as part of the school’s corporate work-study program. Each student will work five days a month; the students’ salary will help pay the cost of tuition. School begins Aug. 15; they begin the work-study program Sept. 4.
