Drafted Afloat: Those with a seagoing liability will he entitled to a gratuitous issue of one bush jacket and one skirt when next drafted afloat to an area where tropical uniform will be worn. At sea, trousers would normally be worn with the bush jacket. There is no change to the existing kit scale of two pairs of white trousers for RN Senior Rates. If required Q S Senior Rates would be issued with tousers when drafted.

Drafted Ashore: Those (with or without a seagoing liability) whose next draft is ashore in an area where tropical uniform will be worn are entitled to a gratuitous issue of one bush jacket and fonr skirts (Q S Senior Rates one skirt). Trousers will not normally be worn ashore.

Introduction 1. This DCI promulgates full details of new badges and the changes in r~ insignia and for Q S and Q S(R) Officers following adoption of RN ranks and titles which will be announced conclll"l'ently in a separate DCI. Background 2. The unique design of NNS badges for Officer's has existed since 1902. A ratings section of S was formed in 1959 which has since adopted RN title~ and ra~e bad~es. When I?CS15 is implemented, personnel from ~l three nllrsmg servIces WIll be working together in a tri service organization. The a~op~ion of RN tit!es and rank insignia for Q S and Q S(R) Offi~ers will mclu~e them III the ~ ra.nk a?d .rate structure along with nursing ratings and establish a corporate Identity WIthin the three nursing services.
