This is part of a new trial that will see 15 parking bays across the borough transformed into small green spaces. The parklets will replace individual parking bays on streets for community use, from one to six months, helping to reclaim Hackney’s roads from cars. Ideas could include planters, benches, games, notice boards or anything else people can think of. Successful applicants will be able to access grants of up to £150 to help with the cost of setting them up. Applications close on 26 August. Residents can find out more and apply to host a parklet at: www.hackney. Bloomin’ great! gov.uk/parklets
