UT Arlington’s Vaughn Stuns NCAA-best 60-meter Run Parry captured first place in the women’s 5,000-meter run at the Samford Invitational UT Arlington senior sprinter Clayton Vaughn smashed a school record by logging the fastest Friday, recording a new South Alabama indoor record in the process with a time of 60-meter time in the NCAA this season, a blistering 6.55 to highlight the Frank Sevigne Husker 17:08.29. WKU Breaks 12 Personal Records at Meyo Invitational The WKU men’s and women’s track and field teams combined to set 12 personal records and senior thrower Jessica Ramsey swept the women’s throwing events this weekend at the Meyo Invitational. Ramsey secured victory with another pair of dominant performances in the shot put and weight throw, winning the shot put with a mark of 53-feet-7 ½ (16.34m) inches and the weight throw with a clip of 66-feet-5 ¾ inches (20.26m). Junior Cyrus Johnson recorded a personal best clip in Cyrus Johnson, WKU, Junior, Pompano Beach, Fla. the triple jump at 50-feet-2 ½ inches (15.30m) to finish third at the meet.
