Wyndham was a good storyteller, though some of the stories in this collection are a bit lightweight. Thanks for telling us about the problem. I read almost all of Wyndham's fiction as a teenager but this book and , also a novella, made the biggest impression upon me. The titular Consider Her Ways is quite powerful with some great world building and very interesting criticisms of hyper-consumerism and the appliance-based reinstatement of housewives after the war.
