Monday Day 1 – Departing Cranleigh around 9am we travel to our first visit RHS Hyde Hall , with its eclectic mix of traditional and modern styles. Highlights include the Dry Garden with its fantastic range of drought resistant plants and the Hilltop Garden with its roses and herbaceous borders. The Australian and New Zealand Garden is designed around mature eucalyptus trees, the area has an authentic Antipodean feel with many native plants such as kangaroo paws, and tree ferns. Work continued with the redevelopment of Hermione’s Garden which is now a true plantsman’s garden with many detailed and unusual species. As a lasting tribute to Hyde Hall’s original owners, the area was renamed to The Robinson Garden. (RHS members + a guest are free for card carrying members. Non-members will pay locally). Lunch can be purchased before continuing to Cambridge and the hotel, where dinner is included this evening.

Tuesday Day 2 – Breakfast included. The first visit today is to Kettle’s Yard which includes a private guided tour. This beautiful House with its remarkable collection of modern art preserved in an intimate, domestic setting includes work by some of the most significant artists of the twentieth century. Complementing the world-class permanent collection are light-filled galleries displaying a changing programme of exhibitions . There will be free time afterwards to explore the city centre during which you can purchase lunch before re-grouping for this afternoon’s self-guided visit of the iconic Kings College Chapel. This is one of the 31 constituent Colleges that make up the and was founded by King Henry VI in 1441. It has continuously striven to uphold Henry’s love for ‘education, religion, learning and research’. Among the many facets of the Chapel is an exhibition of the history of the College, the world's largest fan vaulted ceiling and the ‘Adoration of the Magi’ by Rubens. Returning to the hotel, dinner is included this evening.

Wednesday Day 3 – Breakfast included . Today begins with an included visit to the Fitzwilliam Museum. Housing over half a million objects, the Fitzwilliam has an amazing variety of beautiful artefacts and art from around the world. See everything from Egyptian coffins to Impressionist masterpieces; illuminated manuscripts to ; rare coins to Asian arts. Its internationally-renowned collections are complemented by major exhibitions, year round. Collection Highlights include ; , Les Peupliers, 1891 - Tiziano () Vecellio, Tarquin and Lucretia, c.1571 - Harmensz. van Rijn, Portrait of a man in military costume 1650 - Nakhtefmut’s mummy case - German armour, c.1550-1610. Lunch can be purchased before making our way on foot to the nearby Cambridge University Botanic Garden, which holds a collection of over 8,000 plant species from all over the world to facilitate teaching and research. The Garden provides resources including plant material, horticultural expertise and facilities to research workers and lecturers. Since its foundation, this garden has also provided a beautiful place for everyone to enjoy and benefit from with its series of wonderful landscapes where the drama of plant diversity can be discovered. Dinner is included at the hotel tonight.

Thursday Day 4 - Checking out of our hotel after breakfast, we retrace our steps homewards making a stop at the Henry Moore Studios & Gardens , the work-place and family home of 20 th century sculptor Henry Moore. Each year this sculpture gardens display over 20 of Moore's world-famous, monumental ; showcasing his work as he intended against the landscape he shaped. Discover his creative journey in his fascinating studios, where the origins of his monumental bronzes are evident in the hundreds of small models (maquettes) which line the shelves. The 16 th- century Aisled Barn is the only place in the world where you can see Moore’s remarkable tapestries. Departing here mid-afternoon you will be returned to your original departure point later today.
