Use and Issuance of Bulgaria Air e-Tickets

The purpose of this instruction is to provide guidance on the use and issuance of Bulgaria Air e-Tickets on and after 1. June 2008, when paper tickets are eliminated from IATA BSPs. Sales of Bulgaria Air tickets through BSP are now 89% e-ticket.This document covers the following:

An instruction from FB to Agents to issue e-Ticket from 1 June 2008.

1. A list of the carriers FB has completed Interline e-Ticket Agreements (IET) with.

2. A list of carriers that FB intends to complete IET Agreements with in the course of the next year and ticketing instructions to cover these until they have achieved IET status.

3. A list of Carriers that FB has completed IET with, but where limited functionality exists with regard to Infants ticketing, together with ticketing instructions for Agents for an interline journey involving Infants on this list.

4. Existing interline partners that do not support issuance of open segments/coupons.

5. Itineraries containing more than 16 segments.

6. Collecting change fees on FB.

e-Tickets Only from 1 June 2008 in IATA BSPs

For tickets issued on/after 1 June 2008 paper tickets must not be issued on BSP neutral paper ticket stock using Bulgaria Air airline accounting code (FB 623).

1 1. Interline e-ticket Agreements (IET) on Bulgaria Air.

Bulgaria Air has completed IET Agreements with the following carriers:

*FB can only accept ,but not issue e- tickets with EK segments.

This list is subject to change.

This means that providing Bulgaria Air flights are part of an interline journey with the above mentioned carriers, Bulgaria Air tickets may be issued in accordance with the FB Ticket Issue Policy.

2.Interline e-ticket Agreements (IET) to be completed

Bulgaria Air intends, over the course of the next few months to complete IET Agreements with the following carriers. This means that Travel Agents cannot issue e-Tickets for journeys involving Bulgaria Air and the carriers on this list

2 until IET is implemented. See below for the ticketing instructions for journeys involving these carriers and Bulgaria Air.*

Ticketing instructions:

Apply to Bulgaria Air to issue the paper ticket as follows:

Follow the procedure to issue a vMPD as follows: Complete a vMPD for each passenger to be ticketed: Enter the following mandatory fields:

NAME OF PASSENGER:

REASON FOR ISSUE: Select 50 -Specified MCO*

REASON FOR ISSUANCE CODE: Select A – Air Transportation

AIRLINE CODE: enter 623

FARE – enter the fare

TAXES - insert all taxes applicable to a ticket issue

SERVICE CHARGE/TAX ON MPD: enter if applicable

PNR – enter PNR locator FB/1A

FORM of PAYMENT: Currently FB can accept payments CASH only.

REMARKS: enter any additional information ,TST and PNR copy, place of ticketing

*Currently FB accepts the following options: -40 Prepaid Ticket Advice

3 -50 Specified Miscellaneous Order MCO

Then: Enter the vMPD number in the PNR . Enter these details as an OSI item for transmittal to Bulgaria Air: e.g. OSI FB MPD 62351234567890/P2

The Paper ticket must be collected from one of the following locations : a/ FB town office. b/ Airports SOF/VAR/BOJ – not later than 3 hours before departure. c/FB Offices aboard. d/ Bulgaria air GSA’s.

3. Ticketing of Infants on Interline Journeys.

The following Carriers have completed IET with Bulgaria Air but have limited functionality in their system to accept e-Tickets for infants who are travelling as part of an interline journey involving Bulgaria Air.The listed carriers do not accept Infant e-Ticket with Bulgaria air. See below for the ticketing instructions for these journeys.*

Ticketing Instructions:

Ticketing infants on interline journeys involving FB and carriers on the above list.

Issue the tickets for the adults in the normal way. Apply to Bulgaria Air to issue the infant ticket on a paper ticket as follows:

Follow the procedure to issue a vMPD as follows:

Complete a vMPD for each infant passenger to be ticketed:

Enter the following mandatory fields:

NAME OF PASSENGER

4 REASON FOR ISSUE: Select 50 -Specified MCO

REASON FOR ISSUANCE CODE: Select A – Air transportation

AIRLINE CODE: enter 623

FARE – enter the fare TAXES - insert all taxes applicable to a ticket issue SERVICE CHARGE/TAX ON MPD: enter if applicable PNR – enter PNR FB/1A FORM of PAYMENT: Currently FB can accept payments CASH only. ISSUED in CONNECTION WITH - Enter the associated ticket number for adult (3 digit airline code followed by the 10 digit ticket number e.g. 6231234567890) REMARKS: enter any additional information ;TST and PNR copy , point of ticketing

Then: Enter the vMPD number in the PNR . Enter these details as an OSI item for transmittal to Bulgaria Air: e.g. OSI FB MPD 6231234567890/INF1

This detail will be transmitted automatically to FB once you have manually entered the MCO details in the PNR and will be referenced during the audit process.

4. Existing IeT partners that do not support Open Flight Coupons.

The following existing IeT partner airlines do not support the issuance of open e- Ticket flight coupons. Therefore an e-Ticket cannot be issued if it contains an open sector with any of these carriers. FB will not be able to issue paper tickets on the travel agent's behalf in these instances, and we would suggest that a segment be booked for a specific flight in order for an e-Ticket to be issued.

5. Itineraries containing more than 16 Segments.

After 1. June 2008, the maximum number of e-ticket eligible segments is limited to 16.

6. Collecting change fees on FB*.

*vMPD cannot be issued for Excess baggage.

Completion of vMPD for change fees:

AIRLINE CODE: Enter 623 Bulgaria Air REASON FOR ISSUANCE CODE: Enter either; P for 'Rebooking Fee Domestic'

Or Q for 'Rebooking Fee International' CURRENCY, AMOUNT IN FIGURES and AMOUNT IN LETTERS complete in the normal way FARE BOX: Enter the change fee amount e.g. EUR50 in this box NOT in the 'Tax' box ISSUED IN CONNECTION WITH: Enter the associated/new ticket number (i.e. 3- digit airline code followed by the 10-digit ticket number without any spaces e.g. 6231234567890)

Then Enter the vMPD number in the PNR . Enter these details as an SSR item for transmittal to Bulgaria Air. e.g. SSR OTHS FB MPD 6231234567890

This detail will be transmitted automatically to FB once you have manually entered the MCO details in the PNR and will be referenced during the audit process.
