Its deposits on the date of consolidation with the Lincoln Trust Company were less than $7,000,000. In October of 1916 the following statement was

I issued: “Our deposits now average over Nineteen Million Dollars. “We hope before January 1, 1917, to increase our Deposits to Twenty Million Dol- lars, and if you approve our methods ask your co-operation to that end. Boston is most fortunate in its financial institutions and in the character of the men prominent in their management. The International Trust Company can offer nothing more than is given by many of the best of these, but it’ hopes that a genuine desire to serve the public in a broad and liberal way may bring a continuation of the prosperity it already enjoys.” In view of the foregoing and as an indication of the public approval with which our efforts are meeting, it is gratifying to state that the average total deposit of the INTERNATIONAL TRUST COMPANY During the month of December, 1916, was $20,184,520 “ “ “ “ January, 1917, was 21,271,742 “ “ “ “ February, 1917, was 22,158,680 ^ By utilizing our service in either the Checking, Savings, Safe Deposit, Trust or other Departments, you will show approval of the broad-minded and liberal principles as a result of which this progress has been made. S.S Lina Abarbanell in “Flora Bella”

The attraction at this theatre, beginning next Monday, March 12th, will be John Cort’s original production of the Casino Theatre, New York, musical tri- umph, “Flora Bella,” for the second week of the Boston engagement. The book is by Felix Doermann, revised and adapted by Cosmo Hamilton and Dorothy Donnelly, the lyrics by Percy Waxman, and score by Charles Cuvillier and Milton Schwarzwald. Lina Abarbanell, who gained her greatest prominence in this country in “The Merry Widow” and “Madame Sherry,” both of which im- mense successes were produced at the , New York, is equally as fortunate in having an exceptionally fitting role in this production. The story has to do with a cabaret singer known as Flora Bella, who marries a Bussian nobleman without that august personage knowing by what manner of means she had made her living previously. In his home the girl takes on a most dutiful and demure mode of life. In fact, she becomes so sedate that her husband, who craves for frivolity, grows tired of her. When an old man friend of her actress days accidentally visits the palace of the young people, he inadvertently leaves a photograph of his favorite. Flora Bella, showing her in all the finery of a pair of silk tights and opera cloak. The husband discovers the picture and, accusing his wife of having been photographed in such a raiment, is told that the picture is that of a cabaret singer, an outlaw sister, who resembles his wife very much. He takes an unexpected interest and vows he will visit Petrograd and rescue her; that a sister-in-law of his should not be left alone to lead a cabaret life, and that he will bring her to their home. Flora Bella takes a different route to Petrograd, and when her husband arrives she is again the cabaret singer, with a multitude worshipping her. The husband, not being able to determine that she is his wife, falls madly in love with the girl, and an ingenious finale eventually arrives. There are some twenty numbers in the fascinating score, while the produc- tion is unquestionably pleasing to the eye. The original cast will be seen here, including Charles Purcell, Irving Brooks, Adolph Link, Robert O’Connor, Roy- don Keith, Gilbert Clayton, Hazel Kirke, Dorothy Rogers, Kate Stout and others.
