Innovative Technologies Innovative Technologies is growing a team of technicians with a strong knowl- edge in both centrifuges and the ethanol industry. They pride themselves on customer satisfaction, continuously expanding their capabilities to meet the growing demands of their customers with the goal of always striving for the best quality workmanship in all that they do. The AEDC working in partnership with the City of Huxley, Huxley Development Corporation, and Blue Sky Com- mons, was pleased to support the expansion of Innovative Technologies to Story County from Northwest Iowa. Construction on a beautiful 15,000 square foot building started in Huxley the fall of 2017. As the construction process moved forward the Innovative Technologies team made the decision to construct an additional facility on this site to support the warehouse and distribution needs of their growing company. Kent Corporation The AEDC is proud to support Kent Corporation’s expansion to the Ames community with the opening of the Kent Innovation Center in the ISU Research Park. In September 2017, the company committed $8 million to the new Grain Science and Feed Mill facility. The opening of the Kent Innovation Center reflects the continuance of the company’s strong leadership and interest in this partnership. This new facility enhances Kent Corporation’s internship program, as the company can now provide ISU students of nearly any major with multi-semester internships throughout the year. Secondly, the company’s expansion into the ISU Research Park opens new opportunities to perform innovative work with dozens of Iowa-based companies. These two functions of the Innovation Center demonstrate the company’s dedication to collaboration with universities, students, research- ers, and thought leaders.
