The project includes a 0.5-mile mountain bike connec- tion along C.R. 25 S from the Town of Versailles toward the Busching Covered Bridge, near the park entrance. The remainder of the new trail will be built in an area of the park that was formerly Hassmer Hills 4-H camp, taking advantage of 180 feet of elevation along the planned route.

Trail Name: Vale Park Road West Link Trail Applicant: City of Valparaiso County: Porter Grant Amount: $364,500 Length: 1.45 miles Description: Adds a total of 1.45 miles of concrete trail along the south side of Vale Park Road and the west side of Froberg Road, filling gaps within the City of Valparaiso’s trail system. The new trail links multiple residential neighborhoods to Valparaiso High School, and to Foundation Meadows Park via existing trail along Campbell Street. The project includes a partnership with Olthof Homes.
