The Stony Brook Baseball team shocked the world in 2012 when it made a run for the ages. First the Seawolves won their fourth America East Championship to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Then the Seawolves went to the Coral Gables Regional, defeated host Miami and then won three straight elimination games to take the Regional. Stony Brook then went to Alex Box Stadium and beat six-time national champion and then-No. 1 ranked LSU in a best-two-of-three series to advance to the College World Series in Omaha, where they were the darlings of the city. Below are the accomplishments this historic team had during the 2012 season:
