Lucas Metroparks of the Blue Creek North $137,539.00 $110,030.00 86 The proposed trail will construct 1,900 feet of trail, which Toledo Area Perimeter Trail will complete the perimeter loop around the Nona France Quarry and provide connectivity to the library, Village Park and commercial/residential areas. Cuyahoga Cleveland Metroparks Engle Road Lake-to- $165,166.00 $110,066.00 85 Cleveland Metroparks plans to construct an all-purpose Lake Connector Trail trail in Big Creek Reservation that will connect the existing Lake-to Lake All Purpose Trail with the newly constructed sledding hill and associated parking area on Engle Road. The trail will provide additional public access to both the Lake-to-Lake Trail and the sledding recreation area and will be an amenity to the Reservation and surrounding community.

Allen Johnny Appleseed Ottawa Metro Park-Loop $263,023.89 $0.00 84 The proposed project will replace and widen 3,624 linear Metropolitan Park District Trail feet of asphalt path located at Ottawa Metro Park. The path is currently six foot wide with a deteriorated surface. The new path will be 10 feet in width and will accommodate multiple, non-motorized user types.

Once fully developed, the Etna Road Trail will traverse more that 80% of the east-west distance across Whitehall and connect all 5 of Whitehall's public schools.

Mahoning Canfield Township Robert H. Neff Memorial $261,155.00 $0.00 82 The Robert H. Neff Memorial Bike Trail will connect the Bike Trail Canfield Township Community Park to the Mill Creek Metroparks Bikeway giving safe access from the bikeway to the park. The Neff Land Development Co. will donate a permanent easement to the Township, and the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center will also donate an easement to the Township.

Williams Village of Montpelier Iron Horse River Trail $234,000.00 $0.00 78 The Village of Montpelier is requesting funds from the Recreational Trails Program for segment one of the Iron Horse River Trail. The Iron Horse River Trail will feature a network of trails varying in lengths looping along the St. Joseph River Trail. The Iron Horse River Trail will feature a network of trails varying in lengths looping along St. Joseph River between the Village Hall Park/Senior Center on the west end to the Williams County Fairgrounds. It will include a network of paved 10' wide shared paths that will allow for ADA accessibility and enable residents and visitors alike to enjoy this valuable community asset. This project will provide community access to the St. Joseph River which is widely undeveloped and not easily accessible. It is the ideal location to develop a trail network as well as create water access and additional passive and active recreation activities. By opening up this natural area, it will create new opportunities for recreation, fitness, and safe travel within the village as well as attract visitors from throughout Ohio to visit our historic town.

Cuyahoga Western Reserve Land Lower Big Creek $449,476.00 $0.00 78 The proposed project seeks to install new trails on a 25- Conservancy Connector Trail acre site in the City of Cleveland's Old Brooklyn neighborhood. The site is a former construction and demolition landfill which has recently been remediated to public green space standards through Ohio's voluntary Action program. The proposed trails (2,175 LF of ATP/3,000 LF of trails) will link the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo to the Old Brooklyn neighborhood as well as provide a launch point for a neighborhood connection to the towpath.

Greene Five Rivers Metroparks Green Trail Re-Route $66,205.00 $0.00 77 This proposal calls for the relocation of a segment of the low lying, natural surface Green Trail Loop to a higher elevation to avoid seasonally muddy conditions, high water, and to eliminate the erosion created by the current location and design. The reroute would require a 40' pedestrian bridge to span 32' gorge that is 10' deep at the proposed point of crossing. The trail tread and corridor work will be completed by MetroParks staff, as well as the removal and restoration of the existing segment. This proposal is requesting funding for the assistance in purchasing and installing a prefabricated bridge.

Butler City of Fairfield Harbin Park Perimeter $329,423.60 $0.00 75 Harbin Park is located in Fairfield, Ohio and is scheduled Trail for renovation. One new feature of Harbin Park will be the completed Perimeter Trail that will provide accessible non-motorized connectivity to amenities around the park. An existing 10' wide trail (approximately 2,000') will be extended by about 5,500' to create trail that follows the perimeter of the park and connects park amenities and features and creates new links to neighborhoods outside the park boundary.

Ross Ross County Park Paint Creek Recreation $33,970.00 $0.00 73 This project will restore five (5) bridges along the Paint District Trail Creek Recreational Trail through the replacement of deteriorating joists and deck boards.

Portage Atwater Township Old School Park $73,595.00 $0.00 72 Atwater Township Trustees seek support for the 4th phase of their Park Plan, which is new construction of park trails that will extend around the entire perimeter of the park for a total of 3,655 linear feet of trail. The trustees successfully replaced their playground equipment in 2014 after a risk management and loss control evaluation was completed, and in 2015-16 a new pavilion was built. Most recently, the township approved the addition of an electrical line installed by Viking Football Association that will allow for future concession stand opportunities. Viking is also finalizing plans for new portable bleachers for 2018.

Pickaway Pickaway County Park Pickaway Trail West $379,790.00 $0.00 60 The Pickaway County Park District, with the help of District COTF-114, purchased approximately 148 acres, 15 miles of rail-trail from Dayton Power and Light in 2009. Approximately 1.5 miles of the trail has been cleared and is walkable from the new Canal Road trailhead parking lot, west, to State Route 104 and Columbus Audubon's- Calamus Swamp. Another .6 mile of the trail has been cleared to the west of State Route 104 o Lick Run, where a bridge is required in order to continue the trail. This project proposes to pave the 1.5 miles from Canal Road to State Route 104 and design/build a bridge at Lick Run.

Perry Village of Junction City 2016 Village Park Trail $100,000.00 $0.00 59 This project calls for the construction of a trail around the perimeter of the Village Park for recreational use. Currently, residents walk on trails designed for motor vehicle traffic, and the existing paths do not connect. The proposed trail location is already cleared and currently mowed and maintained by Village personnel. The trail will be asphalt, 8 feet in width with a minimal 6-inch depth disturbance. Other than motor vehicles, no other limitations will be placed on trail use other than normal Village Park operating hours and rules.

The boardwalk will connect the Lake Erie shoreline and Lake Erie Water Trail with Peterson's Woods, a public park area, to a parking area off of Deist Road, and the project includes a 12' x 12' platform that would overlook the Kuehnle Nature Preserve, which is owned by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. This project would greatly increase public accessibility to these important ecological areas on Middle Bass Island.

Lorain City of Amherst North Main Street $210,600.00 $0.00 54 The proposed project includes construction of Recreational Trail recreational trail that will connect the Lorain County Connector Metroparks Beaver Creek Reservation and its existing recreational trail with the Historic Downtown Amherst Main Street Business District. The trail will also extend East from the intersection of North Main Street and Sipple Avenue and connect to the Amherst School Campus to provide a safe route for students to the campus area.

Lorain City of Sheffield Lake Lincoln Trail $301,970.00 $0.00 53 The Lincoln recreation trail is designed to construct, on the peripheral of dense residential, a connecting link between existing attributes and Lake Erie. Commencing on the southern end and a safe routes to schools and joint baseball complex, the trail will traverse north to Lake Erie. The proposal includes city property, an undeveloped road, along the woods line. Continuing, by access of a second undeveloped road, the trail will traverse west, through the woods and conclude near lakefront Shellcove Park and established bike lanes along State Route 6.

Work includes the application of a surface treatment with long stretches of asphalt surface repair as well as areas of full depth spot repair. The project will also include the installation of ADA compliant curb ramps and enhances pavement markings at roadway crossings.

The trail will bring people closer to the water and keep them safely away from the main drive with vehicular traffic.

Summit Village of Richfield Carter Pedigo Trail $375,559.00 $0.00 51 Construction of a new trail (referred to as Phase II). Project Phase II construction includes new gravel surface trail (1,600 LF), bridge, boardwalks, hillside stairs, drainage control measures, and new trailhead with a small (6) car parking area providing access from Brecksville Road. Ashtabula Village of Geneva-on-the-Lake Village Recreational $802,900.00 $0.00 50 The Village Recreational Trail (West) is a non-motorized Trail (West) recreational trail running from Geneva State Park to Geneva-on-the-Lake Municipal Golf Course/Village Hall. The wooded trail will run in the right-of-way of route 534 from approximately 8842 North Broadway (Route 534) until it reaches 5600 Lake Road East (still route 534) which is Adventure Zone and is just west of the first of the dangerous S-curves in the village. At that point it will turn south on Adventure Zone property-for which they have committed to providing an easement.-unit it reaches a ridge running east west. At this point the wooded trail will wooded trail will turn east and will run roughly parallel to State Route 531 (Lake Road) though 900 feet south of the Route. The Village Recreational Trail (West) will contain three trail heads and greatly reduce the hazards faced by cyclists, joggers, and pedestrians who must walk and ride along congested roads with narrow shoulders, blind curves, and numerous crosswalks, interactions, and parallel parking spaces.

Summit Village of Reminderville Liberty Ledges Trail $145,510.28 $0.00 40 The Village was recently gifted approximately 65 acres of property near Liberty Park. The land connects multiple residential neighborhoods to the park as well as the Reminderville Athletic Club. As the final phases of residential development were being considered, the Mayor and other Village leadership are excited about the value of providing connectivity for its residents and businesses.
