Featuring four glass-encased pyramids that represent this stunning Edmonton icon, the Muttart Conservatory is regarded as one of most famous attractions in the city. This landmark garden consists of an arboretum featuring three greenhouses and public gardens, where over 700 species of plants thrive within distinct climatic biomes. The concept of by WinterE229 the four pyramids, each one representing a different biome, was the WinterforceMedia brainchild of architect Peter Hemingway. The myriad species of plants displayed here range from eucalyptus trees and orchids, to alpine flowers and seasonal plants.

William Hawrelak Park "Outdoorsy Fun"
There is always something happening in William Hawrelak Park; the Edmonton Heritage Festival and the Symphony Under the Sky are held here. When there are no scheduled events or festivals, take a paddle-boat out on the man-made lake or enjoy it as an outdoor skating rink in the winter with heated changing facilities nearby. Spanning over an area of by Stella Blu 168.03 acres (68 hectares), the park has good facilities for picnicking and as several well marked trails, ideal for biking, nature walks, and hiking. There's a playground and visitors can also enjoy volleyball here. Cross country skiing is another popular activity at the park.

Fort Edmonton Park "Living Museum in Four Time Zones"
Explore Edmonton's beginnings as a fur trading post at Canada's largest living museum. Walk around recreations of life in Edmonton as it was in 1846, 1885, 1905, and during the Depression. These lush grounds formal gardens and an open area. Devonian Botanic Garden also serves as a serious research and education center for the faculty of agriculture, forestry, and home economics. Courses for the public are run year round on arts, crafts, and horticulture; there are day by HandsLive camps for school children during the summer months. There are ten separate themed gardens, as well as a butterfly collection. For gifts and souvenirs, check out the on-site shop. The gardens are open to public visitation from May to October 10.
