IGI Life Vitality signs and Hareem Farooq as Brand Ambassadors

Karachi, 2019: IGI Life Insurance (A Packages Group Company) has signed up versatile actor and singer Junaid Khan and the multi-talented artist and host, Hareem Farooq as Brand Ambassadors for its newly launched product IGI Life Vitality.

Junaid Khan is the lead vocalist and song-writer of the rock band “CALL”. The brand ambassador role has been created following the launch of IGI Life Vitality, Pakistan’s first and only life insurance program that is linked to a comprehensive science-backed wellness platform ‘Vitality’, brought to Pakistan in collaboration with the Vitality Group of South Africa. Vitality is a leading behaviour change platform which uses the power of incentives, data and behavioural economics to make people healthier, and enhance and protect their lives. The programme is based on three main pillars – “Know your Health”, “Improve your Health” and “Enjoy the Rewards”. Customers who participate in IGI Life Vitality will first complete a health questionnaire to determine their “Vitality Age”, an indicator of overall health status and risks.

Customers then receive a set of clearly defined personal health goals through the IGI Life Vitality app on their smartphone, which they meet by engaging in a broad range of healthy activities recorded through a smart phone with or without an optional wearable device. Customers are also encouraged to undergo periodic health checks. Each successfully completed activity earns “Vitality points”. The more points they earn, the higher their Vitality status and the greater the rewards.

There is a weekly “active reward” for achieving a weekly physical activity target and this takes the shape of either a discounted movie ticket through Easytickets, or a voucher towards a healthy meal ordered from Foodpanda. Customers who buy a Samsung wearable device at 30% discount through the programme are also able to earn back the purchase price over a period of 24 months under the ‘Device Cashback’ benefit, subject only to meeting their monthly physical activity targets. In addition, an annual ‘integrated benefit’ of up to 18% off the premium paid can be earned subject to the customer’s Vitality status at the end of the year. This benefit accrues annually and is paid out at every fifth policy anniversary. The active rewards and the integrated benefit are all guaranteed based upon meeting physical activity / Vitality status targets, and are in addition to the performance of the underlying insurance policy.
