We can say that the 14th IAAF World Championships Moscow this August would be the primary grand stage for the new born Team Japan. When we look at athletes representing the team, it is a superb team organization composed from well experienced to the young ones, so the team is expected to get off to a very smooth and good jump start. I would like to ask the athletes not to put unnecessary strain on themselves, and to have their primary goal on setting a personal record or a season best. I hope that athletes will excel through their nine-days competition against the world’s top athletes and through experience as a member of the team.
