Introduction... Your visit

Concealed under the long sloping roof of this medieval building is a fully restored , working corn mill. You can take a guided tour inside to spot the centuries old graffiti and discover more about the life of the miller. Watch the waterwheels turn, powering the huge millstones that grind the flour.

Things to see and do... Your Tour

You shall be met by a tour guide who will take you through the history and workings of the mill along to the miller who will demonstrate the workings of turning grain into flour. ( weather permitted– dry summers may mean limited milling of grain), you’ll listen to the sound of the grind of the stones enabling the mill to come to life. Accessibility

The mill

The mill has two floors, descending down staircases which have handrails. A kiln with very low ceilings. Loud noises.

The small retail outlet at Nether Aldereley Mill, has a selection of Souvenir products including flour that has been milled on the premis- es.

General Opening hours 2019 Seasonal opening times: 2 April— 4October 2020 12.30pm - 4.00pm Thursday, Saturday and Sunday only

Tours start at 12.45 and are every half hour. Last admission is 3.15pm. (groups no larger than 14 )

Group prices 2020 From 2 April 2020

Whole site £5.50

The above prices are a discounted admission rate for groups of 10 or more. If your group numbers drop below 10, standard admission charges will apply.

• National Trust members are admitted free of charge.

• For group reductions to apply, all admission fees must be paid on the day of your visit, either by cash, cheque or credit/debit card.

• Groups who arrive and are not booked in will pay standard entry rates.

• Please let us know if you need to cancel your booking at least 30 days before the date of the visit.

Where to eat

We do not have any facilities for food and drink, but welcome anyone wishing to picnic on the green by all means.

• Nether Alderley Mill s a popular place to bring a group so we recommend booking early.

• We are happy to welcome groups on open days but there are some occasions, e.g. Bank Holidays and event weekends, when unfortunately we are unable to take bookings. Please call us to check availability before making arrangements. • • Please let us know at least 30 days before your visit if you need to cancel your trip for any reason.

We appreciate that at the time of booking it may only be possible to give us estimated numbers, if this is the case please confirm your exact numbers two weeks prior to your visit.

On the day

On arrival, please park in front of the mill. Please remain on your coach. One of our visitor welcome team will come to you with your tickets to deliver your welcome and information talk.
