Precambrian - 1. Rocks From outskirts of Waterton National Park, Alberta, CANADA, $50 Red variety(top), Green Variety and Black lava/magma intrusion- Purcell Sill. http://www.watertonpark.com/gallery/redrock.html http://www.watertonpark.com/reference/geology.htm

Red rocks are usually argillite - with less than 3% oxidized iron; green are also argillite - with unoxidized iron; beige/grey/brown are limestone or dolomite; black is an intrusive magma sandwiched between bands of white marble (super-heated limestone) called the Purcell Sill. Waterton's rocks formed in a sea that existed over 1500 million years ago. Evidence of this ancient seabed is provided by fossilized ripple marks, mud cracks and algal colonies. – 4 piece

2. Nemiana simplex (Palij 1976) age: Upper Ediacaran (Vendian) Mogilev Podolski, Vinnitsa region, Ukraine https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nemiana 70 USD

3. Stromatolite, 600MYO- 1 BYO, This area is located 50m from the N9 highway between Ourzarzate and Zagora, Morocco

5$ Stromatolites are layered structures typically created by microbal mats, which trap passing sediments. Over time, subsequent microbial growth traps successive layers which cause the stromatolite to grow larger. The stromatolites here are believed to be about 600 million years old, were buried in volcanic deposits, which then eroded away as the Anti-Atlas mountains uplited, exposing the fossil mounds.

17. Quodropedia prima Footprint fossil - Pennsylvanian age ~315 MYO This is a 16" x 10.5" x 1/2" slab of siltstone showing footprints of a small reptile or amphibian from the Pennsylvanian age, some 300 million years ago. As such these prints come from some of the earliest land roaming animals. It was found at a coal mine in Alabama near the town of Carbon Hill. This particular locality is noted for footprint fossils as cataloged by the 1930 publication Alabama Geologic Survey Museum Paper #9 in which these particular tracks are identified as Quodropedia prima. This particular piece shows bottom side casts of the tracks. There are 17 complete tracks and two other partials. The deposition appears to have been a tidal flat which was laid down above the peat swamp that formed the coal seam. This is a highly unusual museum worthy specimen and one of the largest I have. Total - $ 4650 USD on this list (2015 AD) Total 68 items. Items in pair or same type with multiple pieces are considered as 1 item. Prices are as references only. I am donating the items and not receiving any payment of any kind in return. Another reason to put the pricing is, one will not be able to judge the value of this collection properly without these prices. Prices to buy from the fossil stores would be much higher than what I mentioned in the list. These are the bests from my collection being given to the best institution of the country with related courses. I am doing it for the country.( My parents & everyone else are disappointed how the country’s institutions are recognizing my work but I have not given up hope.)

I, Zubayer donated the following fossils to DU in 2011-

1. Trilobite : Elrathia kingi PTYCHOPARIIDA Family Alokistocaridae Locality: House Range & Drum Mountains, Western Utah, USA Stratigraphy: Formation Age: Cambrian - ca 505 mya

2. Inarticulate brachiopod in Matrix species : lingula quadrata Age: Cambrian-Ordovician, Approx 480 million years Location : Bell Island, NL, Canada

4. Fish: Palaeospondylus gunni Middle Devonian 380 million years old Northern Scotland A specimen of the fossil fish Palaeospondylus gunni from the Middle Devonian Achanarras fish bed, Old Red Sandstone of Achanarras Quarry,Caithness,Scotland. A specimen of this enigmatic fish which is believed to be the larvael stage of the lungfish Dipterus. Found only in Northern Scotland, restrictions on collecting at this site make these specimens hard to come by-this one is from an old collection. The fish is preserved on a small block of fine sandstone, .380 million years old.

5. Arizona Petrified Wood Triassic Petrified wood was formed 225 million years ago during the Triassic period and is 4 times as hard as granite and very colourful, due to the effect of impurities such as iron, manganese, copper and lithium present in the wood during the fossilising process

6. Percopteris fern Leaf Fossilized Location: Mazon Creek, Illinois, USA Carboniferous - Pennsylvanian period [ 300 million years old ]
