'Who Zooms' Award 2013 STANDINGS
The Who Zooms Award recognises the achievement of great overtaking throughout the field, and is open to all F4 competitors, with the driver who gains the most amount of places compared to his/her starting position throughout the season winning £5,000. The award is backed by the Leeds based telecommunications company Yoozoom, whose Managing Director Alex Deighton is a former Formula First champion and McLaren Autosport Award finalist. The below table shows positions gained throughout the season. The £5,000 prize was claimed by Douglas Motorsport's Gosia Rdest. Alex Deighton said: “The BRDC Formula 4 Championship is a young, dynamic and exciting new championship and matches the Yoozoom Telecom brand perfectly, so we’re delighted to be a part of it. The ‘Who Zooms Award’ is an innovative prize as it is open to everyone, irrespective of whether they finish in the points or not, and just focuses on their overtaking prowess which in turn will make the racing even more exciting.” Image shows Alex Deighton of Yoozoom, competing in Formula First with his car engineered by nowF4 team owner Mark Godwin, at Silverstone in 1993. This was the car that took both Mark and Alex to their first wins!
