We Have 609 PTSA Memberships So Far!!!!! WE NEED 37 MEMBERSHIPS to hit our BIG GOAL -- 646 members. Our Eastern family has responded to the call, and we are closer than ever to bringing home an award for increasing our membership total by 200+ people. Again, we are only 37 members away!! Would YOU consider signing up yourself, a family member, a neighbor, and/or your student? A few more people pitching in to support Eastern HS in this manner will help our PTSA rise to new heights!

Each membership is just $5. Consider joining today! In order to go for the award, we need 37 more members submitted to either the Campus Store or the front office by Wed, March 6th.

Congratulations to Our Teachers & Staff!!!!!!! Our Teachers and Staff rose to the occasion this year! We challenged them to hit 100% PTSA Membership to lead the way in showing support for the school community they serve in various capacities. They answered in a huge way and met the challenge. We are soooooo excited to announce that the EASTERN PTSA WILL BE BRINGING HOME AN APPLE AWARD THIS YEAR!!!

We only had to use 6 sponsorships to help make this happen. The teachers and staff – even newly hired staff and temporary staff – really brought their A game and chose to show how much they value our school and our kiddos! THANK YOU to each and every one of you!!

Dress Code for Dances Our staff is happy to volunteer personal time to provide activities such as the dances students enjoy so much. However, in recent years the length of some of the female students’ skirts have continued to climb, making it very difficult to monitor our ticket lines of students coming into the dance as we deal with dress code. In light of this, we are clarifying the dress code for the events and need your help in making sure in advance that clothing is appropriate:

o must be no more than 2 inches above the top of the kneecap (measurement will be taken at the end line of the main fabric of the dress, not at the end of any sheer material enhancing the dress)

o Slits must be no more than 2 inches above the top of the kneecap

o Dresses must be complete with no cut outs or sheer material that expose the stomach or sides

o Dresses must not have plunging necklines or backs that are cut out below the natural waist

Attire for those not wearing dresses, must include: o Collared or Tuxedo Shirt

o Tie

o Dress Pants

o Dress Shoes

o or Tuxedo Jacket

Students will not be allowed to wear jeans, tennis shoes, or baseball caps.

Students must be dressed appropriately to be admitted and must remain in dress code for the duration of the event. Ticket prices will not be refunded if a student is not dressed appropriately and has to be turned away or removed from the event.

We realize that many of the local retailers provide a large selection of evening and party dresses, but our events are not “club events” or “private party” events. They are for high school age students. We appreciate in advance your assistance in ensuring students are dressed appropriately for these events.
