SUMMARY OF ACTION POINTS - Partners are encouraged to take coordinates of the area they are intervening. - The sector to work on 5Ws so that partners can be sending their updates. - Focal Persons from the ministries of Agriculture and Livestock production are to be invited during distributions and/or other related activities to encourage government participation. - The ministries of Agriculture and Livestock production will write to the relevant INGOs/NGOs working in the related sectors for full participation and to make activities known to the Government. - The 5W reporting template should be circulated and members are encouraged to fill it on time. - Contact the State Planning Commission to get a complete list of all partners working in the food security and livelihood.

In partnership with WFP, distributed food baskets to 21,420HH in and 10,748HH in . Also in collaboration with Pro-Health International distributed farm inputs in , , Hong, and Michika LGA in January.

Distributed food baskets in 2 communities of Michika LGA namely: Sangere 2,957HH and Zalbaderi 3,320HH in February In March,the following benefited: Michika LGA:

- Pregnant and lactating women 827

Madagali:

- General food distribution 26,528

- Blanket supplementary feeding 1,235 - Pregnant and lactating women 1,136

CEPFOWY Distributed Goats to 300HH in and each Household received 4 goats; 3 female and one male.

OXFAM Commenced the distribution of farm inputs for dry season farming in Adamawa State which include: 1. Mayo-Belwa= 600 bags of NPK fertilizer and 30 water pumps 2. Numan= 600 bags of NPK fertilizer and 50 water pumps 3. Gombi= 600 bags of NPK fertilizer and 50 water pumps 4. Maiha = 1,200 bags of NPK fertilizer and 40 water pumps 5. = 1,900 bags of NPK fertilizer and 50 water pumps 6. Guyuk 40 water pumps 7. Mubi South 50 water pumps. - Completed the construction of 28 additional grain reserves, also recovery of food distributed during the previous lean season is ongoing and is being returned to the grain reserves for subsequent distribution

- Created 1,360 VSLA groups in Mubi South, Song, Fufore and Guyuk LGAs with 32,881 members (13,913M and 18,96F) with total assets of N566,587,201. - VSLA replication is ongoing in Maiha, Gombi, Numan, Mayo-belwa and training is ongoing in Hong. - Conducted TOT for 120 VSLF members and firewood sellers on alternative fuel efficient cooking stove and briquetting. - Ongoing training on community base monitors on budget tracking and social audit in Mubi South, Song, Guyuk and Fufore - Conducted research on food security and agricultural inputs support and the publication will be shared with the relevant ministries. - The PROACT project is ending this year 2021. - Trained 845 Lead farmers in 4 LGAs - ToT for 80 people on briquette making, supplied briquette machine to LGAs which has reduced dependence on firewood for cooking - Supported 5 replicated LGAs with fertilizer and water pump for dry season agriculture - Conducting End-line evaluation for PROACT in the 5 replicated LGAs - Supported farmers in harvesting organic manure for their wet season farming 2021.

AUN/BRSA Conducted training for Extension agents under the Building Resilience through Sustainable Agriculture (BRSA) in Mubi that will be covering Mubi North, Mubi South and Maiha LGAs. The project is targeting 600HH in each of the 3 LGAs making a total of 1800HH.

HARAF Conducted refresher training/visit on local chicken production in Hong, , Fufore, , and Jada LGAs where 3,200 women were reached. Concluded cash based transfer to 200 vulnerable women headed households in Fufore IDP camp. 10 farmers’ groups comprising of 200 farmers in Fufore LGA received farm inputs (NPK and Urea Fertilizer, water pumps, seeds of rice, maize, onion, pepper and tomatoes).

CSED Intervening in Dry/Rain fed cropping season as well as small and large ruminants as an implementing partners for FAO, MCRP and Presbyterian Hunger Project.

Ministry for Livestock and Aquaculture Production (MLAD) Provided quality support on quarantine services for FAO and also support CRS in water for Agriculture and Mercy Corps to train women beneficiaries of poultry intervention in January

- Partnering with FAO for quarantine and quality assurance. - Working on the 32 gazzeted grazing reserves in Adamawa State.

- Started the procurement process for the purchase of Vaccines against PPR and CBPP targeting 200,000 animals.

ECF - Established Secondary School Food Security project at GMMC Yola as pilot Phase - Established Climate Information Center in ADSU Mubi to serve as a center for Climate Smart Agriculture to determine whether Climate Smart is Real or not. FAO Distributed farm inputs to dry season farmers and 28,330HH were reached with seeds of vegetables and rice as well as 25kg NPK fertilizer in January.

FAO targeted a group of Rice Processors in 2 LGAs namely: Mubi North and Fufore. This is part of direct intervention on Agri-Business Component. The groups comprises of 25 women each. They engage the services of 2 Facilitators, 1 for each group and a training on Improved Rice Parboiling Technology was facilitated on them. Thereafter, IPT Equipment given to them to help in improving their livelihood and strengthening their entreprise. The 2020 Livestock Restocking Program continued with the successful distribution of Livestock inputs to 200 women-headed households in Fufore and Mayo-Belwa LGAs of Adamawa. The 2 LGAs are Fufore, which has Daware and Fufore communities while for Mayo-Belwa LGA, we have Gengle and Jereng. Each of the beneficiaries received 4 goats, 2 bags of cotton-seed cake (25kg), and a 2kg mineral lick block. Also, all the beneficiaries received a training on basic Animal Husbandry as a way of improving and building on their knowledge of Husbandry in February. Training and mentoring on Group Savings and Loans Association (GSLA) in Gombi, Song, Mubi North, Mubi South, Girei, Yola North, Yola South and Fufore (1032) beneficiaries. Also, trained 400 women headed HHs on Nutrition in Mubi North, Girei and Yola South, in March

CISCOPE Intervening in Numan for 10 months where they provide cash transfer, planting of 1500 trees to 300 Households. The beneficiaries are formed in to Group savings and Loans of 30 persons/group.

ICRC Conducting assessment for wet season support in Maiha, Guyuk, Mayo-Belwa, and Hong LGAs for intervention in rainy season

FIRST STEP First Step: concluded assessment in 4 LGAs: Michika, Madagali, Mubi north and south, targeting 400HHs IDPs and returnees, to give them seed and fertilizers for rainy season farming

Supporting schools to form young farmers clubs for training of students on Vegetable crop production to encourage them to develop interest in Agriculture.

MACDEN Planning to intervene in rainy season farming targeting people living on the mountainous areas of Michika, Madagali, Mubi North, Mubi South and Maiha.

JAMI ALHAKEEM FOUNDATION Planned to intervene in Monitoring and Evaluation for Agriculture and Livelihood intervention in the State 3 AOB Need to dredge/desilt the dams as they are filled by sand/mud, cannot retain water and cannot be used for irrigation, to work with Ministry of Water resources on this, while CRS and Search for Common Ground have some funding to support. Need for Planning Commission to invite more people working on Agriculture and food security to always participate in FSS meetings/activities
