Around Keukenhof Gardens Located in Lisse in the Netherlands, Keukenhof is one of the world’s largest flower gardens and is open for just eight weeks each year, during which time it attracts around one million visitors. On Sunday: At the Museum of the Gorge, see what the Gorge was like in 1796 with the help of a giant 12-metre model. Spot a royal carriage crossing the Iron Bridge and see the cargo being carried on a Severn Trow as well as figure toiling in a coalmine. And a short film will tell you all about the area’s history and why the Gorge was made a World Heritage site. A visit to the new shops on Canal Street at Blists Hill is a must. Jackfield Tile Museum galleries have some lovely examples of individual tiles and period-room settings depict various locations that would have been decorated with tiles.
