ENFORCEMENT ENQUIRIES

To inform members of the enforcement enquiries received and associated action during quarter. 1st July to 30th September 2007.

1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 The report indicates the number and type of enquiries received and identifies the notices served to remedy breaches of planning control and the outcome of notices previously served. 1.2 The policy of investigating enquiries within 2 working days has been met on 67% of occasions. 2. 2.2 Of the 67 enquiries received during the last quarter: 32 were in breach of planning regulations

27 were not in breach of planning regulations

2 were anonymous complaints

2.3 Of the 32 enquiries that were in breach of planning regulations 11 have been brought to a conclusion by appropriate remedial action. The remaining 21 enquiries are awaiting a satisfactory outcome. 2.4 Enquiries received each week are listed in Appendix One. It states the date received, address, nature of the enquiry, whether there was a breach of planning regulations or not and the date of the initial inspection.
