On November 1, 2018, Verizon[1] filed (Transmittal No. 1384) revisions to Verizon Tariff FCC Nos. 1, 11, 14 to grandfather term plans for Voice Grade, Digital Data Service (DDS), DIGIPATH Digital Data Service II (DDSII) and NYNEX Enterprise DS0. Under this filing, beginning on November 16, 2018 (Grandfathering Effective Date), Verizon is grandfathering the following term plans: FCC No. 1: - Term Pricing Plans (TPP) for DDS, Voice Grade Service - Commitment Discount Plan (CDP) for DDS, Voice Grade Service FCC No. 11: - Service Discount Plan for Voice Grade, DDS, DDSII, NYNEX Enterprise DS0, NYNEX Enterprise Voice, NYNEX Enterprise Network Reconfiguration Service DDSII and Voice Grade Network Access Ports - CDP for DDSII, NYNEX Enterprise DS0 Service FCC No. 14: - Rate Stability Plan and RSP-EX Extension Option for Four Wire Voiceband and DDS - Optional Payment Plan for DDS FCC No. 16: No impact as Verizon does not offer term plans for Voice Grade or DDS services. As of the Grandfathering Effective Date, the term plans listed above will not be available to new subscribers. Existing CDP and RSP-EX Extension customers will be able to continue to order services under their existing plans until the plans expire. Customers will not be able to renew or extend CDP and RSP for the Voice Grade and DDS service types. Upon expiration of the existing plans, Verizon will convert the billing for the Voice Grade and DDS service types to month-to-month rates and will continue to provide the service on a month-to-month basis. CDP for other service types not specifically identified herein are not affected by this grandfathering. For the term plans listed above other than CDP and RSP-EX Extension, on and after the Grandfathering Effective Date, existing customers will no longer be able to order any new services under their existing term plans. If, on the Grandfathering Effective Date, a customer has existing service under one of these term plans, then the customer may retain such existing service until the end of the existing term, and may make moves or changes to the existing Service as long as such activity does not extend the existing term. Customers may not renew or extend the term of any such existing term plans. Upon expiration of any existing terms, Verizon will convert the billing to month- to-month rates and will continue to provide the service on a month-to-month basis.
