THANK YOU to all who helped to make the Church Fete and the Dog Show such a great success on 9th June. There are far too many people to thank individually for the help they gave to the organisers before and on the day, by giving up their time, advertising in the Fete Programme and donating items for sale. Also the support of the School in arranging the Maypole dancing and Matt and Hannah at the Barley Mow for providing the barbeque equipment As a result of everyone’s generosity and that of all who attended to spend so freely on the attractions a net profit to the Church in the region of £4,250 has been achieved as well as a donation of several hundred pounds to the Dog Show’s nominated charity “Dogs for Good.” Well done and thanks to all for making this event the most successful to date. If the person, who bought 3 jars of Josie’s chutney and left them in a bag by the Granny’s Attic stall, would like to claim them they should phone Betty Barnett on 01327 811263.

20th – 27th July has been designated National Church Tourism Week and it is proposed that St James’ Church will be open during the week to allow visitors to look around and hopefully for one or two short talks to be given on its history, architecture and monuments. Look out for posters detailing what is on nearer the date. St James’ has been designated one of the 100 best churches in due to its architecture and historical connections, so it will be well worthwhile making time to find out more about your local church. 1 PAULERSPURY CHAPEL DIARY FOR JULY / AUGUST JULY 1ST Morning Service Led By Ian Markey 9.30AM JULY 8TH Morning Service Led By Tony Jones 9.30AM JULY 15TH Morning Service Led BY Peter Brazell 9.30 AM JULY 22ND COMMUNION Service Led By Rev Jane Wade 9.3O AM JULY 29TH Morning Service Led By Paul Wilson 9.30AM AUGUST 5TH Morning Service Led By John Booth 9.30AM AUGUST 12TH Morning Service Led By John Geary 9.30AM AUGUST 19TH Morning Service Led By John Hutcherson 9.30 AM AUGUST 26TH COMMUNION SERVICE Led By Tony Jones 9.30 AM BOOK SWAP - Additional venue now available at Chapel every 2nd Tuesday of the month during coffee morning 10.00 - 11.30 am . Paulerspury Parish Council The Parish Council would ask that drivers please consider their parking arrangements when parking in the village. Pavements must be clear for wheelchair access and for prams and push chairs. Those on foot should not have to take to the road to pass an inconsiderately parked vehicle. Thank you. Mrs S Sawyer. Neighbourhood Watch During the month of May, attempted and actual burglaries took place. Sadly we are not alone in being a target so please make sure that sheds and garages are secured/alarmed . Note any suspicious activity you may observe and report it to the Police or myself. It may help build a picture. Maggie Down Co ordinator

We hope to see lots of you out enjoying the summer time and we are planning some great food, drink and entertainment – including live music in the evening and a bouncy castle for children. After such shocking weather for the last two years we will do some serious contingency planning in the event of rain, so there's no need to let a grey day put you off! Beers will be sourced from some great local breweries, including Towcester Mill, Gun Dog Ales in Woodford Halse and Merrimen Brewery in Litchborough. Alongside this we will be featuring some great ciders and if we get the sunshine then we will be getting the Pimm’s jugs out! After the return of the hog roast last year was such a success we will be roasting a whole pig and serving hot pork rolls with homemade stuffing and apple sauce.
