Garbage cans: Maximum bundle size 75 x 75 x 20 centimetres • Must have a completely detachable lid. Remove lid for collection. (30 x 30 x 8 inches). The Region of Waterloo will only collect approved-size blue boxes. Recycling boxes can be purchased at local retailers. For the safety of the collectors (who reach into thousands of boxes each day to sort into their truck), an approved recycling box must: • Be a reusable, rectangular blue plastic box. • Have a rim around the top of the blue box. • Be made of rigid plastic that does not bend or give when lifted.
