Development Programme

The Development Programme began with the goal of creating a dynamic and inclusive forum which would extend further than academic production, in keeping with the very concept of development. The Programme, besides bringing together experts and easing the creation of ideas and their implementation, acts as a forum for debate, discussion, meetings, constructive criticism and the search for alternative development models to those currently used. This stems from our belief that development is a process which should improve the quality of life for people, communities and countries. The CIDOB Foundation aims to contribute to this continual process of improvement of standards of living and balance out inequalities by creating and implementing ideas, making forums for new strategies and alternative development models more accessible in order to meet the international goals set for 2015.
