Christmas is a quiet and peaceful religious moment. At midnight, most families go to Holy Mass or Pasterka as it is known. Chezhs eat Makruska Tart, special roulade with chocolate cream, a special salad with tuna(spring salad), the traditional cheese pie, sausages and the bread named Vanocka. All the food is associated with apple juice or wine. France
In the holy night they have dinner and then go to bed. At Frenchs Christmas table we can find different dishes like “la dinde au marrons”, salad,”la buche de Noel” and various types of cheese. Germany
They call the Christmas “The holy night”. In this night they eat grilled gang meat with cabbage and apple. As a dessert they serve marzipan and a cake called “stolen” which is like the Romanian” cozonac”. Portugal
The Portuguese go to the church at the midninght to celebrate Missa de Galo. As traditional dishes they have products formed by lemon, fish and carrot and the dessert is made from sweet chesse and raisins. They have also a dessert called rabanadas which contains milk, raisins and cinnamon. Romania Romanians call this day Craciun. If we talk about food the Romanians tables are full of: sarmale, mamaliga, slanina, steak, wine, juice. As a dessert . Romanians eat cozonac and different cakes like the cake with apple and others. Turkey We can eat from the Turkishs table delicious food like sacmalik, pandispanya and more dishes made by honey and milk
