Eight lucky staff members from Donald Berman Maimonides got an exclusive opportunity to have a VIP experience at Battle of the Bands – including a meet and greet with celebrity guest Tito Jackson! The opportunity came thanks to a very generous and heartfelt donation from Benjamin Cohen. Mr. Cohen had attended and enjoyed the Battle of the Bands in the past and once again supported the event as an event sponsor – which entitled him to two front-of-the-house tables and access to an exclusive VIP cock- tail which includes a meet-and-greet with our celebrity guest. When Mr. Cohen realized he was unfortunately scheduled to be out of town the night of the event, he contacted the Donald Berman Maimonides Foundation to let them know he wanted others to benefit from his tickets. Having a personal connection to Benjamin Cohen Maimonides, Mr. Cohen says he remembers seeing family members there treated with the utmost respect. “The staff at Maimonides work hard and are sincere, compassionate people,” he recalls. Mr. Cohen asked that his eight VIP tickets be given to deserving staff members who work directly with residents. “I wanted to show my appreciation that what they do is valued,” he explains. At Mr. DBM staff members enjoy the VIP experience at Battle of Cohen’s request, a raffle was held at Maimonides and eight staff members’ names were drawn. The lucky the Bands thanks to Benjamin Cohen.
