SIRENICIDE 4 ME25 – “Scary’S on the Wall” 5 6 *Open Scene 7 8 Layne Laughlin and Jerry Laughlin Are Sitting Around a Cheap Wooden Coffee Table 1 Oct. 29, 1996 - Morston, TX 2 3 SIRENICIDE 4 ME25 – “Scary’s On the Wall” 5 6 *Open Scene 7 8 Layne Laughlin and Jerry Laughlin are sitting around a cheap wooden coffee table. 9 They are in the living room of Jerry’s trailer park rental and the TV plays an old 10 western in the background. Bags of heroine are being unwrapped by Layne as they 11 laugh about a girl that Jerry just broke up with earlier in the night. Jerry takes a 12 quick swig from his cheap light beer. *SFX 13 14 Jerry Laughlin 15 Laughing under his smoky breath, cigarette in his mouth: 16 “Man, fuck that bitch. She just saw me as trailer trash anyway. I don’t care though. 17 She’s just another dirty junkhead blonde on my list.” 18 19 Jerry blows out the last puff of his cigarette into the air and fans it away with his 20 hand as Layne starts separating the heroine. Then Jerry puts the cigarette out.*SFX 21 22 Layne Laughlin 23 Dismissing that comment as he concentrates: 24 “Is that how you justify it?” 25 26 Jerry picks up and shakes his now empty beer bottle and sets it disappointedly back 27 on the table. He then leans over, opening a cheap ice chest and pulling another beer 28 out. *SFX 29 30 Jerry Laughlin 31 Says, insulted, while looking for the bottle opener: 32 “Yeah, Layne, it is.” 33 34 Jerry digs in the couch cushion and finds the bottle opener. *SFX 35 36 Jerry Laughlin 37 Says, getting a little pissed at his brother: 38 “It’s not like I asked her to go blow Kurt for this shit. She did that on her own.” 39 40 Jerry pops open the bottle, takes a fast, heavy swig, and sets it back down. *SFX 41 42 Layne Laughlin 43 Irritated at how quickly his brother is going through the beer: 44 “Jesus, Jerry, save some of those for the rest of the night, dude. Fuck.” 45 46 Jerry Laughlin 47 Blows that comment off and tries to liven up the mood: 48 “There’s plenty for both of us, dick. You should have one and chill the fuck out. But, no, 49 no. You can’t separate that H quick enough. You should really slow down on that shit, 50 dude, and I’m only saying that as loving brother.” 51 52 Layne Laughlin 53 Finally grinning: 54 “Just open up one for me, bitch.” 55 56 Jerry leans over, opening the cheap ice chest again and pulling another beer out. 57 Jerry pops open the bottle and slides it over to his brother. *SFX 58 59 Layne Laughlin 60 Looking over at his brother. Asks slightly confused: 61 “What did she get from Kurt by doing that anyway?” 62 63 Layne picks up the beer, takes a quick swig, and sets the bottle down. *SFX 64 65 Jerry Laughlin 66 Almost ashamed: 67 “…Voz.” 68 69 Layne Laughlin 70 Shocked! 71 “Voz! Are you fuck’n for real, Jerry? You wanna talk about me shooting heroine? Give 72 me a break, dude.” 73 74 Jerry Laughlin 75 Looking over at his brother. Asks slightly confused and then apologizes: 76 “Layne, that’s why I wanted to you be here, man. I trust you, brother. Courtney was a 77 cunt earlier, dude. She was gonna walk us through it. She has been there before, so I 78 figured that’d help. I’m sorry she ran off with your money.” 79 80 Layne Laughlin 81 Curious: 82 “Fuck her, dude, but if I knew that’s what she was gonna from buy from Kurt, I 83 wouldn’t have loaned you the dough. When you said, “She’ll get us some exclusive shit,” 84 I thought you meant like Moonrock, H-Bomb, or even Snowball - but Voz? I don’t know 85 man, that’s some scary shit. (Deep breath) So, what did she see when she did it?” 86 87 *Time shift to the Next Scene (Trippy Acid Time Lapse Cue) 88 Echos of the dead can be heard all around Layne as he awakens in his brother’s 89 trailer. The lights are all off and the TV is now just rolling static. Blood is dripping 90 from the ceiling and some drops land on his face, letting him know that this is not a 91 dream. *SFX 92 Layne Laughlin 93 Lost: 94 “The hell? Is this blood?” 95 96 Layne rises from the couch and steps on the sponge wet carpet. *SFX 97 98 Layne Laughlin 99 Grossed out: 100 “Ew, gross! The carpet's soaked with the same blood. Oh my god, look how red it is 101 outside too. It looks like blood and fire mixed together and made the night sky. Hmm… 102 Oh shit, where is Jerry?” 103 104 Layne walks on the spongy carpet toward the hallway. *SFX 105 106 Layne Laughlin 107 Lost: 108 “I see a glow at the end of the hall. Jerry! Are you in your room? Jerry?” 109 110 As he slowly walks down the blood-filled hallway, he looks to the right-side hallway 111 window and sees a robed figure loading human carcasses into an old wooden cart, 112 except the bodies are reaching out in pain as he stacks them on top off each other. 113 The man loading the bodies is yelling at the top of his lungs. *SFX 114 115 Creepy Cart Man 116 Yelling! 117 “Scary’s on his way! Don’t get hit! The time is nigh! Scary’s on his way! Don’t get hit! 118 The time is nigh! Scary’s on his way! Don’t get hit! The time is nigh! Scary’s on his way! 119 Don’t get hit! The time is nigh! Scary’s on his way! Don’t get hit! The time is nigh! 120 Scary’s on his way! Don’t get hit! The time is nigh!” 121 122 Layne Laughlin 123 Scared, but curious: 124 “This Voz shit is for real. I knew people said it would take you to the land of the dead, 125 but I didn’t think the hallucinogenic properties would be this intense. This feels and 126 smells like a real place. I wonder...” 127 128 Layne slaps the glass of the small window. *SFX 129 130 Layne Laughlin 131 Yelling, then laughing: 132 “Hey, fuckface! Shut it! I’m trying to enjoy my high and you're bringing me down! Stop 133 yell’n that shit!” 134 (Stoner laughing then stopping in horror when the cart guy looks over.) 135 136 The cart man drops the body he’s holding and stops yelling to look at Layne. *SFX 137 138 Layne Laughlin 139 Very scared: 140 “Oh shit, he sees me? Fuck! What the hell is this drug doing to me?” 141 142 Layne ducks down under the hallway window to hide. His crouching weight can be 143 heard on the bloody carpet. *SFX 144 145 Creepy Cart Man 146 Yelling at Layne: 147 “You shoulda known better boy! I see you! So does she! The writing is on the wall! 148 Scary’s on the wall! You hear me boy! You can’t hide here! She is everywhere! Ya hear 149 me! Death is all around you! Don’t! Get! Hit!” 150 151 All at once, an explosion of glass hits above Layne and a wicked wind howls in. *SFX 152 153 Layne Laughlin 154 Cries out in pain: 155 “Oh shit, shit, shit, shit!” 156 157 The sounds of hands wrapping around the crushed window seal can be heard as the 158 cart worker peeks his face into the trailer, just his eyes looking down as his body 159 dangles. The sound of the cart worker’s legs moving against the tin of the outside of 160 the mobile home can heard as he speaks. 161 162 Creepy Cart Man 163 Wickedly whispers: 164 “Scary’s on the wall. You could be too. She would love to have you both.” 165 166 Layne jumps to his feet and runs towards the glowing door, all on wet carpet. *SFX 167 168 Layne Laughlin 169 In terror as he runs! 170 “Jerry! There is some creep coming through the window! Let me in!” 171 172 Layne reaches the door and frantically jiggles the handle as the Creep finishes 173 sliding through the broken glass window, plopping down on the wet carpet and 174 broken glass. *SFX 175 176 Creepy Cart Man 177 Wickedly whispers: 178 “Scary’s on the wall. I’d wait until it’s over. She’s in there with him. Come help me, Mr. 179 Laughlin. Let’s feed the muddy sewer. Together.” 180 181 Layne starts slamming his fist on the wet wooden door as the Creep starts inching 182 his way closer. *SFX 183 184 Layne Laughlin 185 In terror, bangs on the door! 186 “Jerry! Jerry! MAN, open up!” 187 188 The Creep still walks closer as Layne cries in fear! *SFX 189 190 Creepy Cart Man 191 Wickedly whispers: 192 “Feed my eyes! Feed My Eyes! Feed My Eyes!” 193 194 Layne Laughlin 195 In terror, bangs on the door! 196 “Jerry! Help! Stay away from me, you creep! Jerry!” 197 198 Creepy Cart Man 199 Wickedly whispers: 200 “I stay away, but from her. For she holds Scary and wants them bones you have.” 201 202 All at once the door unlocks and the Creep disappears.

  • Post-Presidential Speeches
Post-Presidential Speeches • Fort Pitt Chapter, Association of the United States Army, May 31, 1961 General Hay, Members of the Fort Pitt Chapter, Association of the United States Army: On June 6, 1944, the United States undertook, on the beaches of Normandy, one of its greatest military adventures on its long history. Twenty-seven years before, another American Army had landed in France with the historic declaration, “Lafayette, we are here.” But on D-Day, unlike the situation in 1917, the armed forces of the United States came not to reinforce an existing Western front, but to establish one. D-Day was a team effort. No service, no single Allied nation could have done the job alone. But it was in the nature of things that the Army should establish the beachhead, from which the over-running of the enemy in Europe would begin. Success, and all that it meant to the rights of free people, depended on the men who advanced across the ground, and by their later advances, rolled back the might of Nazi tyranny. That Army of Liberation was made up of Americans and Britons and Frenchmen, of Hollanders, Belgians, Poles, Norwegians, Danes and Luxembourgers. The American Army, in turn, was composed of Regulars, National Guardsmen, Reservists and Selectees, all of them reflecting the vast panorama of American life. This Army was sustained in the field by the unparalleled industrial genius and might of a free economy, organized by men such as yourselves, joined together voluntarily for the common defense. Beyond the victory achieved by this combined effort lies the equally dramatic fact of achieving Western security by cooperative effort.

downloads alice in chains unplugged album free mp3 Downloads alice in chains unplugged album free mp3. • Musical Religiosity
Musical religiosity MARTIN HOONDERT Tilburg University Abstract In this essay the author explores the thesis that music is by its nature religious, or rather, that it has qualities that correspond well with what religion, in a broad sense, aspires to be. Four musical qualities are explored: timbre, the tonal system of western music, the time relations within the tonal network, and the non-referential nature of music. These qualities are linked to the definition of ‘the religious’ by John Dewey. The main conclusion is that an analogy can be shown between the musical and the religious experience: both composers and musicians challenge the listeners to explore the hidden religiosity in the performance of music. Keywords: music, religion, transcendence, experience In December 2010 I attended a performance of the compositionBlue Encoun- ter by the Dutch composer Joep Franssens,1 a fascinating piece that ‘moved’ me during the performance. Blue Encounter is a composition for solo instru- ment. It was performed by Sarah Oates, a young violinist, who played the work with great concentration. The live performance made everyone focus on the violinist and the music she was making. For fifteen minutes Oates captivated the audience of over a hundred people. With just her violin, she managed to achieve the greatest possible richness of sound, as she let the long melodic lines flow into each other, making good use of the acoustics. Oates created a sphere, a soundscape, in which the audience could, albeit temporarily, ‘live’ (Murray Schafer 1993). New spirituality joep Franssens (1955) can be regarded as a composer of the New Spirituality movement.
