For example, we have established a mile stone in skill development of poor and unemployed youths of Bihar with the support of various govt. agencies. As far as the other sector is concerned, we have done very well in women empowerment Sector and for this, we have indentified the problems of tribal women and implemented the programmes for their capacity building, skill training and a sustainable livelihood specially for the women from Santhali, Paharia and Minority community of Jharkhand . In other hand we have succeeded to provide irrigation facilities through the conservation of water and installation of lift irrigation system for the welfare of small and marginal farmers of tribal and hilly areas. Besides these programmes, we have also focused on the rescue and rehabilitation of children and setup children homes, child adoption homes, including the facilities of primary Education, Vocational training and establishing child friendly environment under ensuring child rights. How ever, we are very much grateful to our supporters, well wishers, professional, workers and volunteers, who are stand with us to achieve the goal. In other hand we are grateful to our support agencies/organization/departments, without whome our objectives would not have taken place as we wish. Finally, we are running on the path of promotion towards our vision and mission, which was already set up. In this regard, we are moving faster with a hard work in transparent and Accountable manner with a hope of support by the donors as well as the individuals, who are with us. Governing body Ashwini Kumar Anjesh Kumar Sadhana Kumari President Secretary Treasurer Kanchan Kumari Rubi Kumari Dimple Rani Ajit Kumar Member Member Member Member Our Approach SVS’s approach to development is based upon participatory principles at the community level. It is believed that overall development of the communities cannot be achieved by single hands, thus to ensure the benefits of holistic development to reach the poor, it is necessary that the different development actors play conclusive roles at grass root level. SVS’s based on its capacities and its experience has chosen to work for reducing illiteracy and promoting sustainable livelihood practices involving the beneficiaries and other stakeholders. The decisive role of the society will be to work in harmony with all stakeholders and build sustainable process in the communities and link them with governance structures. By working on systemic issues that can bring about a multiplier change, we try to integrate the developmental issues and improve the conditions of the vulnerable individuals and households. We believe that an educated individual is more capable in taking decisions and improve livelihood conditions of self and household, thus acting simultaneously on both thefactors has larger positive impacts on the society and community in whole. We realize, we are an external agent to the communities and our role is to trigger the development process and wait till the process are adopted and integrated in the system. Thus we believe in change for better tomorrow. MORE ABOUT SVS SVS came into the existence on 02nd October 1993 the birth centenary of father of the nation ‘Mahatma Gandhi’ with dedicated ideologies of groups of intellectuals, social activists and general people to work for the underprivileged and weaker section of the society. The group felt that acting on specific issues would limit them and the organization would lack the space to develop and grow further. To keep it in mind, the name of the organization was finalized as “SARVANGIN VIKAS SAMITI” with a meaning, as a group for overall development through its vision, mission and objectives. On 28th, June 1994 the society was formally registered under Indian Societies Registration Act 21, 1860 (XXI of 1860). Organization have engaged individuals with flair to work for in social development issues in field of education, health, nutrition, hygienic, skill development training, rural development, sanitation development, environment development, awareness generation campaign on social issues and covering wider range of stakeholders from the society. The society has been seeking financial assistance/grant-in-aid from various Government/ Private Funding Agency(s), converting them to social development. At present and in future the society is committed to work with dedication for the overall development at grass root level in poorer pockets involving the deprived. OBJECTIVES OF THE SOCIETY 1. A closer look at the agriculture sector for its progress in the last two decades in relation to the economic reforms would help to identify the challenges that face the sector and to provide potential policy and programme options that will increase agricultural growth which could directly contribute to overall economic growth and further reduction in rural poverty. Focusing on the agricultural sector in the context of economic reforms is also important given the recent emphasis by the UPA government on the urgent need for addressing the concerns of the rural poor, devolving power to the local panchayats, and developing a unified national market for enhancing the agricultural income of the rural population.

Botanic Garden, Howrah – 711103, India 3Department of Botany, University of Kalyani, Kalyani-741235, Nadia, West Bengal, India *Author for Correspondence ABSTRACT During repeated mycological forays to Rajmahal hills, a widely distributed, host specific, resupinate to effused-reflexed basidiomata of Hymenochaete conchata were collected. In the present communication this species is reported for the first time from India with morphological description along with the illustrations and nrITS-based phylogenetic analysis. Comparison with the allied species is also discussed. Keywords: Hymenochaetaceae, Jharkhand, Molecular Phylogeny, Taxonomy INTRODUCTION Traditionally, genus Hymenochaete is assigned to such xanthochoric taxa which are characterized by: coriaceous to hard stipitate to resupinate basidiomata; hymenial surface even or rarely granular to hydnoid; monomitic hyphal system; presence of setae; hyaline basidiospores; and presence or absence of cystidioles (Patouillard, 1900; Burt 1918; Corner 1948 & 1991; Cunningham, 1957; Donk, 1964; Jülich 1981; Parmasto 2001; Ryvarden, 2004; Dai, 2010; He & Dai, 2012). Interestingly, diverse range of basidiomata (stipitate to substipitate, pileate to effused-reflexed to resupinate corticoid forms) amongst the members of this genus bear less taxonomic value while correlated with the molecular phylogenetic studies (Wagner & Fischer, 2002; He & Dai, 2012; He & Li, 2013; Baltazar et al., 2014; Parmasto et al., 2014).
