Youth Academy Fast Facts

Mission Statement: The Atlanta Youth Academy exists to advance the kingdom of God by offering an excellent Christ-centered education to low-income, urban communities. History: • Established in 1997 • On current campus since January 2008, AYA serves both the Norwood Estates and Thomasville Heights communities. • Sits on 18 acres of land; in the process of building a beautiful new campus, including two new structures: Academic/Office Building and Cafeteria/Fellowship Building. Academics: • Serves Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade • Average Number of Students per Classroom: 15 • Average Student Body: 140 • Rigorous academic curriculum (Primarily Pearson Education--Reading Street, Envision Math, Elevate Science, Pearson Social Studies) • Bible Curriculum taught daily; Other special offerings: Leadership, Spanish, Art and Etiquette Tuition: • 8% of the Household Adjusted Gross Income. • Average scholarship provided per student is $12,600.
