When it comes to evaluating the baseball talent level in the Duneland Athletic Conference, the Indi- ana High School Baseball Coaches’ Association pre- season poll says it all. Four of the top 16 teams in 4A in the state of Indiana are members of the DAC. Lake Central enters the season as the conference fa- vorite and number one team in the state, following by Crown Point (eighth), Chesterton (thirteenth), La- Porte (fifteenth) and Portage (sixteenth).
