Please ring Val on 01249 760312 for more information. Circle Dance. Circle Dancing is a mixture of traditional folk dances and contemporary dances to music – traditional, classical, modern, fun and meditative. No other form of dancing that offers so much variety of style, tempo, rhythm and music. It is light to moderate exercise, good for the memory and coordination, meaningful and uplifting. Dancing in a circle is the oldest form of community dance. Traditional folk dances celebrate the seasons, work, life, love and loss. These dances introduce us to music and rhythms that we would not normally meet. It is like stepping into the shoes of someone from a country and culture which is very different to mine. Learning these dances helps us to understand and celebrate our differences and is a step towards acceptance and peace between us all. Circle Dancing is open to everyone of all abilities. No experience is necessary as all the dances are taught first. No partner is needed as we all join hands and dance together, have fun and make friends while learning dances to music from around the world. We always say ‘There are no mistakes in Circle Dancing – only variations. From the 9th April and then on alternate Thursday mornings from 10.30 – 12noon Annette and Val will be starting a Circle Dance Group in the Church Hall, Hilmarton. Do come along and give it a try. For more information please call Val on 0149760312 or Annette on 01249760631 We will be delighted to see you.

HILMARTON PARISH NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN UPDATE The steering group for the Hilmarton Neighbourhood Plan (NP) met on 30th January 2020. We welcomed Anthony Northcote HNCert LA(P), Dip TP, PG Dip URP, MA, FGS, ICIOB, Mist LM, MCMI, MPTPI. of Anthony Northcote Planning Ltd, he gave us a very interesting presentation on the way forward in preparing our NP. We have formally accepted his offer of taking on the role of our principle advisor and negotiator for the successful production of our NP, especially considering his involvement in the presentation of Calne and other Wiltshire NP’s. At our next meeting we will compile a list of local issues, called ‘scoping’, ie: Housing needs/where, green spaces, highway issues etc, this will form the basis of our Parish wide questionaire, which will be hand delivered/collected to every household. Everyone will have the chance to put their views forward, so important in the production of the NP. We are also planning open meetings at Hilmarton and Goatacre, to maximise community involvement in what will be a very important legally binding document. FROM THE DUKE - We are very touched by the support received so far. Sunday’s are even better than we imagined. We thank you once again, for your continued support in working with us to keep this community pub open. We are slowly getting the hang of things and have listened to what people say, so we are pleased to announce our new bar snack menu available Saturday daytimes. Moving forward we will continue welcoming the popular Lyneham Chippy on Friday’s, and as you are aware, you’re more than welcome to eat your meal in the pub, maybe enjoy it with a drink! Our bar snack menu on Saturdays is in the process of changing to ‘home cooked pub grub’. We urge you to book the popular Sunday Roast as we have unfortunately had to turn people away. Mothers Day, 22nd March, will see a special menu and on Saturday 9th May, working with our community, we have managed to secure an amazing vocalist for the Scarecrow Festival. Please like and join our Facebook page to keep up to date with our latest news. A massive thank you again for your support. See you soon. THE DUKE TEAM

24 January 2020 We’ve saved a generation, help us save the next This year is a particularly special one for Wiltshire Air Ambulance as we celebrate our 30th year of operation. Countless lives have been saved since we began operating in 1990. As a result, a generation of people have been able to resume their lives and celebrate special milestones such as birthdays, wedding anniversaries or the birth of children and grandchildren. To highlight our work former patients whose lives we have saved are featured in videos each month throughout 2020 on our social media channels and website, along with an opportunity to make a donation. We are only able to provide our vital service thanks to the generosity of people, community groups, schools, businesses and grant- making trusts who make donations. Our charity is not funded directly by the Government and receives no National Lottery grants. It costs £3.75 million a year to keep our lifesaving service operational. Last year we undertook 1,233 missions – an increase of 12% on 2018. We are honoured to serve Wiltshire and surrounding counties. With your help we can be here to save the next generation. Notes - General matters 1 The only Churches at present in communion with the Church of England are other Anglican Churches and certain foreign Churches, as listed in the Supplementary Material to the Canons (but note Rule 83(3) of the Church Representation Rules, which provides for any question as to whether a particular Church is in communion with the Church of England to be decided by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York acting jointly). 2 Membership of the electoral roll is also open to members in good standing of a Church not in communion with the Church of England which subscribes to the doctrine of the Holy Trinity where those members are also prepared to declare themselves to be members of the Church of England. 3 Every six years a new roll is prepared and those on the previous roll are informed so that they can reapply. If you are not resident in the parish but were on the roll as a habitual worshipper and have been prevented by illness or other sufficient cause from worshipping for the past six months, you should complete declaration 2B or 2C as follows – (a) delete the first set of words in square brackets and (b) at the end of the second set of words in square brackets, briefly state the reason for not having worshipped as mentioned. 4 If you have any problems with this Form, please approach the clergy or lay people responsible for the parish, who will be pleased to help you. 5 In this Form ‘parish’ means ecclesiastical parish. Use of email addresses and other personal data 6 You do not have to provide an email address on this Form. If you do provide one, the Parochial Church Council and the electoral roll officer are entitled to use that email address to communicate with you in connection with the maintenance or revision of the Roll or the preparation of a new Roll or with elections to or membership of the Council. 7 The Church Representation Rules impose certain requirements for your name and address to be given to a third party, such as the diocesan electoral registration officer, in connection with elections to or membership of a deanery synod, diocesan synod or the House of Laity of the General Synod. If you provide an email address on this Form, it will be given to the third party along with your postal address. 8 A third party to whom your name and address have been given under the Church Representation Rules is in certain cases required by the Rules to pass them on to another person, such as the presiding officer in a synodical election. If you provide an email address on this Form, that email address will be given to the other person along with your postal address. 9 Any person to whom your email address or other personal data is given under the Church Representation Rules is required by those Rules to hold the data securely. Furthermore, if you do provide an email address on this Form, that does not give anybody the right to use it for any purpose other than those permitted by the Rules; so it cannot, for example, be used for social matters or fund-raising. 10 The roll is published after each annual revision and after the preparation of a new roll. The published roll will include your name (as well as the name of every other person on the roll) but none of your other personal data (as defined by the Data Protection Act 2018) will be made public as a result of your inclusion on the roll.
