PRESENTATION

PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW, hosts twice a year on more than 22,000 square meters, the major Parisian event about mangas and Sci-Fi.

With over 150,000 visitors each year, PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW is the appointment of all fans, amateurs and professionals of manga, Asian culture, video games, TV shows, movies and comics.

It is also an opportunity for the public to discover new worlds in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

For this new edition, children and adults will discover, by themselves, in group or in family, new activities and animations, many shops and publishers, and will of course meet prestigious guests from all around the world.

3 MANGA AND JAPANIMATION

Manga and anime universe is now everywhere in our daily life and are an integrated part of our culture since many years. France is the second biggest mangas consumer, just behind Japan.

PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW allows visitors, fans and beginners to discover theses universes through entertainment, activities, shops and publishers, through which they can discover a multitude of products from these topics (DVD, books, plushs, figurines, clothing ...).

It is also the opportunity for the public to meet our guests from most prestigious animation studios and Japanese publishing houses. Some remember of the coming of Shingo Araki, chara designer of Saint Seiya or Masaru Gotsubo (Samurai Champloo). More recently, we had Masashi Kudo chara designer of the successful anime Bleach.

PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW has also been fortunate to receive many chara designers, mecha designers, directors such as Mamoru Yokota (Death Note), Toshihiro Kawamoto (Cowboy Bebop), Yasuhiro Irie (Fullmetal Alchemist) or Shigeto Koyama (Ghost in the Shell). In october 2015, Yoshitaka Amano, this genius illustrator, honored us of his presence, for the pleasure of all his fans.

In November 2016, Tetsuro Araki, Tetsuya Nakatake, Maiko Okada and Yasuyuki Ebara from WIT Studio (Attack on Titan, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress) came and, last edition, the successful mangaka Kiyo Kyujyo (Trinity Blood) was there (world premiere).

PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW is also an area dedicated to video games.

On free play or in competitions organized during the show, everyone can test their favorite games or compete against real champions.

The public can also find all the news and exclusives, as it has been the case during the previous editions including the spaces of Bandai Namco Entertainment, Nintendo, R-Cade Cup and Warner Video Games.

All the fans can also meet our guests from the video games world with demonstrations and signing’s sessions (Dina, Marcus, Siphano, Bob Lennon, Joueur du grenier, Kayane, Benzaie, Frigiel, Sora, Guillaume & Kim, ...).

The convention has 4 stages welcoming during the whole week-end showcases, concerts, panels, cosplays, dance and video games contests...

The SCI-FI SHOW aims to put the spotlight on movies, TV series, comic books, but also everything related to fantasy and science fiction.

Fans of Spiderman, Batman, Star Wars, Harry Potter Walking Dead will find their happiness in derivatives’ products and complete their collections of comic books through the booths of the biggest European specialists.

SCI-FI SHOW also hosts authors and illustrators of comic books from around the world. Bob Layton (), Art Suydan (Marvel Zombies), Bob MacLeod (New Mutants), Fabian Niecieza (), Alan Davies (Excalibur), Mike Ploog () or Pat Mills (Requiem) have already made the trip to the delight of our visitors.

It is also an opportunity to have their photo taken alongside icones like Pamela Anderson and Richard Dean Anderson. And also with their favorite movie heroes and TV series. Christopher Lloyd aka «Doc Brown» from Back To The Future, Christopher Judge (Teal’c in Startage), Michael Shanks (Dr. Jackson in Stargate SG1), Anthony Daniels (C3PO in Star Wars) or Dave Prowse (Darth Vader in Star Wars) have already responded present in previous editions. In 2017, for Buffy The Vampire Slayer 20th anniversary, we were very pleased to receive James Marsters, Nicholas Brendon, Charisma Carpenter and Juliet Landau...

Since 2013, the lastests ones were Melissa McBride (Carol) and Robert Singleton (T-Dog) of the blockbuster series The Walking Dead, Finn Jones (Loras Tyrell) and Natalia Tena (The savage Osha) from the series Game of Thrones and Sylvester McCoy who played one of the famous Doctor Who.

Without forgetting Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) or John Rhys Davis (The Lord Of The Rings), Nicholas Lea (X-Files), Harry Melling and Stanislav Ianevski (Harry Potter) or the team of Power Rangers Megaforce were on the SCI-FI SHOW.

6 CULTURE, ANIMATIONS AND ACTIVITIES

PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW, it’s also many activities for people to discover traditional Asian cultures, as well as entertainment to immerse themselves in the world of manga and make them spend unforgettable moments.

Among the activities, the most popular is none other than the famous Cosplay, true institution to recreate the costumes of characters from manga, video games, comic books and even iconic characters from movies and TV series. Karaoke, concerts and fashion shows featuring the latest creations of our young designers, among others will complete the many activities available from the public.

For the culture part, Ikebana workshops, calligraphy, origami, drawing, but also introductions to Go, Mahjong allow visitors to discover and to better understand some aspects of this rich Asian and particularly Japanese culture.

Martial arts will be featured with demonstrations of Karate, Ninjutsu, Aikido or Hai Dong taking place throughout the weekend. The more adventurous visitors can learn the art of fighting with true professionals.

TV series and science-fiction fans can also spend time dreaming with the different animations dédicacted to Star Wars and cars from TV series and movies. COMMUNICATION AND PARTNERS

Since its creation PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW has continued to see its reputation growing through communication operations’ and partnerships’ in place following a huge ads schedule in all kind of medias.

A communication campaign (press, radio, television...) is deployed throughout the year. Two months before the event, promotion of the show is enhanced by several marketing operations in various medias.

PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW is also strengthened by its presence on the web. Its website has become the most important information source for visitors, including numerous newsletters and all the social networks in constant interaction with our community of fans.

18 GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SALES -ARTICLE 1- PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW, event dedicated to manga, japanimation, tech, video games, science fiction and comics, in November 07th and 08th, 2020 in Hall 3 of the Parc des Expositions at Porte de Versailles, is organized by the company ABYSSIUM SARL. The organizers reserve the right of allocation, admission and refusal of registration without having to justify themselves. The organizers may exclude any exhibitor who does not comply with these regulations, does not present goods in accordance with the theme of the event, does not present goods in accordance with their registration or who disturbs the good order of it, without being able to claim any reimbursement or compensation.

-ARTICLE 2- Only exhibitors who have previously registered by return of the attached registration form and who have accepted the general conditions of sale of PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW, which will take place at Parc des Expositions de la Porte de Versailles - 1 Place de la Porte de Versailles -75015 PARIS – France, will be admitted. Exhibitors may in no case under rent or yield all or part of their space and must occupy it with their own goods. The merchandise displayed must be validated in advance by the organizers and cannot be modified on site.

-ARTICLE 3- The following are admitted as exhibitors: professionals, associations and individuals. A photocopy of a K-bis extract for professionals, statutes for associations and an identity document for individuals will be requested during registration (photocopy to be attached with the attached registration and the payment of the booth). Any registration form that is incomplete or not accompanied by the requested photocopies will not be taken into account.

-ARTICLE 4- As part of the registration of a non-professional individual, this last has a right of retractation of 14 (fourteen) days from the admission of their request to participate by the organizers.

-ARTICLE 5- Any cancellation from the Exhibitor must be notified to the organizers by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt. In case of total or partial cancellation (reduction of surface area) by the Exhibitor of his participation in the event, whatever the cause, this last remains liable to the organizers, notwithstanding the allocation of the exhibition space to another exhibitor, 50% of the price of all the services ordered (rental plus options) if the notification of disclaimer is received by the organizers at least 60 (sixty) days before the event opens to the public and 100% of the price otherwise.

-ARTICLE 6- The organizers can cancel or postpone the show in the case of force majeure. In the case that, for major reasons, unforeseeable or economic reasons, the fair cannot take place, requests to participate are canceled and the sums available, after payment of the expenses incurred, are divided among the exhibitors in proportion to the sums paid by each of them. Constitute cases of force majeure justifying, at any time, the cancellation or postponement of the show, any new situation, health, climate, economic, political or social, at local, national or international level, not reasonably foreseeable at the time communication on the show with exhibitors, beyond the control of the organizers, which makes it impossible to run the show or which involves risks of disturbances or disorders likely to seriously affect the organization and smooth running of the show or the security of goods and people. In the case of cancellation by the organizers, the exhibitors cannot claim any compensation for the costs incurred in view of their participation (standmaker costs, advertising costs ...).

-ARTICLE 7- The organizers reserve the right to change the hall / booth of an exhibitor for a hall / booth of equivalent or greater value and dimensions, without notice and without compensation from the organizers. This change of hall / booth does not give the right to cancellation without compensation from the exhibitor.

-ARTICLE 8- For installation, the opening to exhibitors will be from 8 am on Friday November 06th, 2020, from 7 am on Saturday November 07th, 2020 and Sunday November 08th, 2020. Exhibitors must unload and install their merchandise before opening at public at 8:30 am on Saturday and Sunday. Exhibitors agree to remain present until the end of the fair and not to uninstall before the public closes at 6 p.m. on Sunday.

-ARTICLE 9- Access for vehicles for unloading must be done exclusively on the area provided for this purpose. Vehicles must imperatively be removed after unloading, before installation in the exhibition room. The unloading area will be closed to vehicles from 8.15 am on Saturday and Sunday. Parking is available so each exhibitor can park their vehicle there, at their expense, for the duration of the event. Parking spaces are also available in the surrounding streets. The organizers decline all responsibility if vehicles are the object of theft or damage, regardless of where they are parked.

19 -ARTICLE 10- Children are prohibited during the installation and disassembly period. In the case of non-compliance with the instructions, Paris Manga & Sci-Fi Show cannot be held responsible if any accident occurs during the installation and uninstallation of the event.

-ARTICLE 11- Exhibitors must not exceed the limits of their location or bother the movement of visitors in the aisles provided for this purpose. The addition of an additional table or support is only authorized within the limits of the booths. Any modification of the table plan set up by the organizers as well as any addition of partitioning or large support cannot be done without the agreement of the organizers, on presentation of a detailed plan of the desired accommodation. The organizers reserve the right to refuse any accomodation that could damage the image or the proper conduct of the event, without having to justify themselves.

-ARTICLE 12- The exhibitors agree not to put on their space (table or floor) any fabric which would not be flame retardant (standard M1) and to respect the content of the show safety instructions which will be supplied to them later and which must be returned signed.

-ARTICLE 13- Exhibitors and their staff assume responsibility for any accidents, theft, loss or damage that may occur to themselves or their property during the duration of the event (unloading, delivery, installation, periods open and closed to the public and uninstallation), as well as any damage they cause to a third party. Exhibitors agree to insure their goods, equipment, furniture and staff at their own expense, as well as to take out civil liability insurance covering the duration of the event (unloading, delivery, installation, periods open and closed to the public and uninstalling).

-ARTICLE 14- Exhibitors agree to only sell items belonging to them, the nature of which is directly related to the theme of the event, in accordance with French and European legislation and not to offer any counterfeit products. In the case of positive observation of non-conforming products, we will have to report it to the copyright holders. Price display is not mandatory. The organizers reserve the right to ask exhibitors to remove from their booth items that do not comply with the theme of the event, that do not comply with their registration or with the content of the laws governing sales in the territory French. Exhibitors are not allowed to sell food-type products without the prior authorization of the organizers.

-ARTICLE 15- the prior agreement of the organizers. The distribution or display on the booths of any promotion for another event cannot be done without the agreement of the organizers. The distribution of flyers in the enclosure, outside or on the show is strictly prohibited without the agreement of the organizers.

-ARTICLE 16- The display of its products is authorized on partitions, only with single scotch tape or patafix. At the end of the show, all signs of display must be removed. In case of non-compliance, cleaning, repair and / or any damaged structure will be invoiced to exhibitors. Wild posting is strictly prohibited and will be penalized.

-ARTICLE 17- Exhibitors agree to open their booth when the event is open to the public (8:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday), to leave it open until the closing to the public (7:00 p.m. on Saturday and 6:00 p.m. on Sunday) and not to leave their equipment in the aisles when the event is open to the public. A fixed fine of 300€ will be applied if these commitments are not respected.

-ARTICLE 18- In the case of the exhibitor’s disclaimer or his absence from the opening to the public (8:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday), the sums paid will remain acquired to the organizers who reserve the right to dispose of the corresponding location.

-ARTICLE 19- The sale of food products is subject to conditions and cannot be done without the prior agreement of the organizers.

-ARTICLE 20- The presence of guest(s) on the booth cannot be done without the agreement of the organizers.

-ARTICLE 21- The sale of replica weapons, subject to prior written validation by the organizers, is limited exclusively to decorative katanas that are not sharpened and not grinded.
