Women & Children (Boys&Girls <18 years) Men 18 years and above Highlights ● On 23 January 2014, AFAD - the Disaster and Emergency Management Agency of Government of Turkey - announced that the total number of Syrians registered and assisted in 22 camps located in 10 provinces was 214,540 including 120 Syrians receiving medical treatment in hospitals. AFAD reported that during the period of 22-23 Jan 2014, a total of 303 Syrians were admitted and registered in the camps and 302 Syrians have voluntarily returned to .

● UNHCR Team was informed by the local officials that 1,440 persons who were admitted from Jarablus to Malatya Beydagi Karkamis town have already been sent to Karkamis, and -1 which all are tent camps. Reportedly 7,207 500 of them were sent to Islahiye camp, 512 were sent to Nizip-1 camp and about 400 were transferred to Karkamis camp temporarily until further instruction from AFAD.

● In order to accommodate these recent arrivals and considering the possible more new arrivals, UNHCR K.Maras Field teams are informed by the local officials that the authorities are considering a new camp to be Adıyaman established.
