Here are the safety guidelines for the Nor'East Toy Dog Cluster Please read them carefully They will be enforced

NOR'EAST TOY DOG CLUSTER COVID RULES IN THIS NEW NORMAL PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND ADHERE STRICTLY

When this Corona virus hit, we were all shocked and eager to find the answer to one question... “When can we resume life as we know it”? While we still do not have a clear answer to that question, we do know that there is a great desire to begin to venture out and do some of the things we enjoy if we can do them carefully.

It is in that spirit that the Nor'East Toy Dog Cluster, supported by the Officers, Board and Members of the Classic Toy Dog Club of Western Massachusetts and the Town & Country Toy Dog Club of Eastern Massachusetts, have developed the following procedures and practices for our 2021 Cluster of Shows and Events. Everyone who attends the cluster for any event or in any capacity is covered by these “cluster rules” as stated below.

IF YOU ARE ILL, FEEL UNWELL, COUGHING, SNEEZING, RUNNING A TEMPERATURE, OR BEEN EXPOSED TO ANYONE WITH COVID-19 WITHIN THE LAST TWO WEEKS, PLEASE STAY HOME.

Respect the directives of Club Officials, and Show Committee members to keep the show safe. Honor all members of the dog show community, by adhering to Covid-19 guidelines. Many in the dog community are in high-risk categories. They are present demonstrating their passionate efforts to make these events safe, sustainable, and successful. Please review the AKC COVID Conformation Best Practice Guideline. Failure to follow the directive of Club Officers and/or Show Committee members can result in a Bench hearing, and expulsion from the grounds. By the act of entering the show grounds beginning May 27 thru May 30, 2021, the event participant acknowledges awareness of the risks associated during a pandemic, and grants a waiver of liability in order to engage in any of the activities as part of the Classic Toy Dog Club of Western Massachusetts, Inc. & Town & Country Toy Dog Club of Eastern Massachusetts, Inc. Toy Group Dog Shows. The participant agrees to adhere to the following stipulations identified to enhance safety, in order to engage in the above described events.

PLEASE BRING WHAT YOU NEED TO KEEP YOUR DOGS COOL! If a dog is in distress you have waived your right and we will break into the car to protect the dog’s health and safety.

SPORTING EVENT This is a non-spectator sporting event. The shows are closed to the public. Anyone attending the shows must either be an owner, breeder, volunteer, exhibitor, handler, handler assistant, judge, club member, hired professional (photo, video, steward, etc.). Any family members attending the show must enter with an owner, breeder, or handler of the dog. The general public will not be allowed on the grounds and if found in a building will be politely and professionally escorted off the premises.

ENTERING THE BUILDING The first time anyone enters the building each day they will have their temperature checked with a forehead thermometer. This applies to EVERYONE including club members, workers, handlers, judges, AKC reps, vendors, building employees and anyone else not listed. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will be refused admission and advised to seek medical attention. You may leave your dogs with someone else to show. There will be no refund if dog is not shown. Each person who passes the temperature check will be issued a colored wristband. A different colored wristband will be issued each day. This wristband will allow you to enter the building during that day without having another temperature check.

CRATING Due to social distancing, crating space is limited. Exhibitors or handlers with entries of 5 or more dogs may request a crating area. Any others who normally travel together and wish to be crated together may also request a crating space if they have 5 or more entries. Everyone who wants crating space MUST fill out a crating request form for a crating area of approximately 10' x 20'. Minimum of 5 dogs required. Unfortunately, we may not have crating space in the building for all entries. We will try to accommodate everyone to the extent possible, while maintaining appropriate social distancing. Anyone not assigned a crating space may bring entries into the ring area 15 minutes before your breed is judged. ______Patriot Pug Dog Club May 29, 2021 Page 2

There is no electricity available in the building and no fans, blowers or hair dryers will be allowed. DOGS MAY NOT BE LEFT IN THE BUILDING OVERNIGHT. NO PRIVATE INDOOR EXPENS ALLOWED Penny Kretchmer will be in charge of the crating area. Please follow her directions. Anyone not following the rules will be asked to leave the premises.

Crates are only allowed in general ring area 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after breed judging. Please use good judgment to respect social distancing requirements if marks are not present on flooring. Classes, breed etc. may be divided to allow for social distancing. Rings will have separate entrance and exit gates to facilitate social distancing. Do not congregate at the rings or in the aisles.

CONFORMATION JUDGING Exhibits will line up outside the ring maintaining social distancing and exhibits will be called into the ring as each judge deems appropriate. The judge will direct you as to how to prepare your dog for exam. Follow the judge’s directions. When gaiting with other dogs, maintain a 6 foot distance between exhibits. After placements are made, please leave the ring and, if you are not going forward in the judging of that breed, please leave the ring area. The judge or steward will direct those who will remain as to where they are to wait for BOB judging.

ARMBANDS & CATALOGS When approaching the rings for showing, only the steward will have access to the ringside catalog Armbands will be available at the Show Secretary's tent. To facilitate this process, please know what armbands you need. Please maintain a reasonable distance from the table and the person in front of you when securing your armbands.

There will be NO public catalogs. We will have catalogs for sale. Exact change or check required for catalog and tee shirt sales.

CHAIRS No public chairs will be provided. The cluster will not provide any seating around rings. Exhibitors can bring their chairs but must maintain social distancing between each other and from the rings. Household units are free to sit together. No group gatherings or congregating in the buildings. Chairs must be removed immediately after the judging of your breed.

MASKS Masks covering the mouth and nose are REQUIRED at all times, including while in the rings. The mask must cover the mouth and nose at all times unless eating, drinking or removing perspiration but you must maintain social distancing, then properly replaced. You must keep your mask on when showing your dog in the ring, NO EXCEPTIONS. When exhibiting in non-conformation events, masks are required and gloves are recommended. There may be additional rules added. Stewards and judges will wear masks (so train your dogs to expect a person in a mask) and judges will have hand sanitizer available between each examination. Masks do not need to be worn in your vehicle.

VENDORS Vendor Booths – Masks must be worn at all times when in a vendor’s booth.

PHOTOGRAPHS Photographs may be taken without the judge. In that case, judge's image will be added to a win photo later in order to limit contact.

HAND SANITIZERS Hand sanitizer stations will be in multiple locations throughout the building.

SIGNS Please observe all signs especially pertaining to entrance and exit doors on the building. You will not be able to enter or exit every door.

SHOW SECRETARY No EXHIBITORS, HANDLERS, OWNERS, BREEDERS, etc. are allowed behind the Show Secretary's table.

HEALTH An AED is available on the show site near the front entrance. All show participants are required to self- assess daily. If anyone exhibits symptoms of illness consistent with COVID- 19 – such as fever, fatigue, cough, chills, muscle pain, headache, sudden loss of the sense of smell, diarrhea, sore throat, or shortness of breath-they should immediately leave the site, self-isolate, and seek medical care. A decision can be made by the exhibitor to have their dogs shown by volunteer handlers if they wish.

Infection control - Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds. Avoid shaking hands, hugging, or other physical contact. Avoid touching dogs that are not your responsibility. Avoid common use pens/pencils – bring your own writing instruments. Clean up after your dogs.

The above rules are our attempt to have a fun event and yet still maintain a level of safety for all who attend. We will have committee members circulating to ensure that everyone understands the rules and to answer questions. We ask that you honor any request made of you. While we are doing everything that we can to make these events as safe as possible, entering the building and participation is at your own risk
