He is originally from Jacksonville, Florida but has been contributing to the Montreal music scene for decades. Whether he is performing on North America's biggest stages, such as Carnegie Hall or the Montreal Jazz Festival, or in more intimate venues like Jello Bar or the Montreal Casino; his warm, soulful voice and his compelling stage presence leaves any audience grateful for the experience. Dorian Sherwood Toured and recorded with artist such as : Robert Palmer, Chaka Khan, Celine Dion, Lara Fabian, Corey Hart to name only a few. Dorian is also known for his Stevie Wonder performance in the musical «Generation Motown» and the lead performer in «Night Fever», both produced by René Simard. Singer/ songwriter, he is also the producer and songwriter of the 2001 summer hit «OLÉ OLÉ» performed by the group 11:30 and he has two albums under his name. Coco Thompson Coco born Janis Nicole Thompson has been singing since the age of nine. Over the years she has had the priveledge of performing with several great artists such as Celine Dion, Corneille and Daniel Belanger. She has done back vocals for Patti LaBelle, The Neville Brothers, Jully Black and Michael Bolton. Over a period of three years she had a reoccuring sub-role in «Motown» as Diana Ross. A composer and singer she has written with several artists and recorded two duets. She is now working on a solo album. See also the musicians biographies Maude Buisson An accomplished artist with multiple talents and a warm, emotive voice, Maude Buisson has been making a range of musical styles her own for nearly 20 years. Not only does she create her own shows, but she also directs and choreographs them! Having recently worked with Corey Hart, Maude is now working on her first album. Not surprisingly, it's a collaboration with her ten-year partner, Michael Litresits. Michael Litresits Michael Litresits has been a prominent figure in the Montreal Music Scene for the last 13 years sharing the stage with the likes of Sky, Corey Hart, and many others. Michael has been focusing the last few years on Musical Direction and arranging, producing 4 very strong stage shows for «Les Productions Le Diplomate», check out «SoulCity» for it is a show that most definitely proves Michael's production and arranging prowess. Marie-Christine Despestre Although she studied piano from a very young age, singing has always been Marie-Christine Depestre's greatest passion. Over the course of her career to-date, she has shared the stage with such celebrated artists as Garou, Gregory Charles, Sylvie Desgroseillers, DJ Champion and Daniel Bélanger. At the moment, she's focusing on her solo career. Over time, he developped his singing talents by taking on a number of styles, including Soul, gospel and Latin music. He also sang back-up vocals for a long list of home- grown and international performers. In 1998, he nabbed the lead in the hit musical «Rent». Ever since, his acting talents have landed him roles in U.S. and Canadian film, television and animation productions. SoulCity was inspired by the real-life experiences of one of the show's singers, Maude Buisson, who left Quebec in 1998 to tour with a group of African-American musicians and singers. For Maude, it proved to be a journey of discovery and self-discovery, during which her immense talent would finally shine. With roots in funk, gospel, disco, Motown, R&B and other styles, soul is the kind of music that unites and uplifts. Six musicians and four singers - that's ten top-notch artists - will have audiences on their feet and dancing in the aisles at the Casino de Montréal's Le Cabaret. Like coke cut with absinthe, Deweare’s pop boosts your adrenaline and leaves the taste of licorice on your lips. This Frenchman sings of dirty love down on a rug of soul. A nightingale crooner with a Gainsbourgian air, Deweare pecks at the line dividing funk from punk and invites himself to sit at each and every table. Sparing no stylistic paradox, he mixes the entrée with the dessert, according to the teachings of Beck and company. Following in the footsteps of Philip K. Dick, he bases his words on everyday hallucinations, transforms missed dates into music, and adds rhythm to déjà-vu. Deweare [de-vair] Many take offence when we mispronounce their name. That isn’t the case for Deweare, who has heard his patronym mutilated at all possible phonetic angles, from [de-wair] to [day-weer].     PETER HENRY PHILLIPS - Biographie Pierre-Philippe Côté, aka Peter Henry Phillips, est un jeune auteur-compositeur-interprète qui a fait ses débuts en tant que réalisateur, compositeur et musicien aux côtés de plusieurs artistes. Mieux connu sous le nom de “Pilou”, l’artiste détient un BAC en contrebasse du Conservatoire de musique de Montréal. Natif d’Asbestos, il a entre autres accompagné Ariane Moffatt, Jorane, Elisapie, Lewis Furey, Tomas Jensen et Navet Confit à titre de multi-instrumentiste. En 2007, Pierre-Philippe a fait parti du groupe Mimosa, qui s’est mérité la première place aux Francouvertes. Depuis, il a fait son chemin au sein du groupe Elektrik Bones à titre d’auteur- compositeur, musicien et chanteur du groupe. De plus, Maxime Morin, aka DJ Champion, a recruté le chanteur pour son album Resistance. Il a participé à l’enregistrement de plusieurs titres de l’album, dont la chanson Alive Again qui s’est hissé au top des palmarès radiophoniques. En 2010, Pilou s’est davantage fait connaitre du public québécois en interprétant “la chanson vinyle” à chaque semaine à l’émission Belle & Bum. À force de travailler les compositions et arrangements de ses propres titres, l’artiste s’est découvert un talent en réalisation. Au fil des années, il a assumé ce rôle auprès de Marie-Jo Thério (Chasing Lydie), Philippe Brach (La foire et l’ordre), David Giguère (Hisser haut), Sébastien Lacombe (Territoires) et Ines Talbi (Boarding Gate). We could even say inside the same song because some have a similar structure. They begin all in softness, so much we have to open up the volume to make sure we don’t miss anything, and then they break out completely to become particularly heavy with a loud guitar. There are some exceptions as the excellent acoustic song “Stranger Things Have Happened”. I also like “Erase/Replace” and the good melodies of “Long Road To Ruin” and “Summer's End”. Instrumental “Balad of the Beaconsfield Miners” doesn’t have anything exceptionally good, if it’s not the fact it presents a side we didn’t know about the Foo Fighters. The rock tracks are generally too straight, well far from the energetic grunge of their debut.
