Sabretooth born Victor Creed is a mutant who, like his younger half-brother WolverineSabertooth a number of animal-like abilities, such as retractable claws, enhanced senses, and a regenerative healing factor. Victor Creed was born in the mid-late s in what would Sabertooth be known as the Northwest Territories of Sabertooth, British North America. After James tended to John, Thomas tries to explain to James the truth about Sabertooth situation, but John's wife, Elizabeth begged Thomas not to Sabertooth James, but Thomas said that he needed James to know, and that there would be "no more lies". Under this grief-stricken incident, in an act of vengeance, James' mutation began to manifest as he Sabertooth bone claws, slowly emerging from his fists and knuckles, witnessed by Elizabeth, Thomas, and Victor. In a wild rage, James screamed in anger and ran towards Thomas, who tried to stop him by gunning him down with his rifle, but was stopped by Elizabeth. Soon after, James impaled Thomas, much to everyone's surprise. However, with his dying breaths, Sabertooth revealed that John wasn't James' real father, much to his horror, and called him "son". Elizabeth, horrified by James' mutation, questioned James as to what he was. Confused about what was happening to him, James fled into the woods and was followed by Victor. Victor Sabertooth up and overtook James, who frantically said he didn't mean to kill Thomas, but Victor said "Yes you did. He deserved it, and you gave it to him". Victor told James that they were brothers, asking if James realized that, and brothers to protect each other. Victor told James that they have to be hard enough so nothing can touch them. James wanted to go Sabertooth but Victor said that they can't and they have to stick together Sabertooth matter what, and take care of anyone who gets in their way. Sabertooth asked his younger brother if Sabertooth can do that, and James nodded in agreement. James then came to his aid and reluctantly assists Victor, releasing his claws and prepares to defend his brother, ready to fight as they promised, revealing their gifts to the other men in their unit. Sabertooth their grave insubordination, this incident lead to Victor and James being sentenced to death and placed in front of a firing squad to be executed after decapitating a senior officer. They are shot by a firing squad but they do not die, as their healing factors, which kept them alive, prove hard to kill them. James and Victor were eventually brought the Sabertooth of Major William Strykerwho visited and confronted them as he entered their cell. One night, after the carnival was closed, and Bradley was in his trailer, he heard someone knocking on the door. Bradley tries telling them Sabertooth the show's over, but the person at the door persists. Bradley goes to open the door and reiterated Sabertooth the show's over, but was shocked that it was Victor, who said "Show's never over for us Bradley". Victor then asked if Bradley was going to invite him in, which the latter decided to do. Bradley informs Victor that he never said a word about what happened and is living a whole new life now. Victor then unscrewed a lightbulb and protruded his claws, making Bradley Sabertooth and shut off the still glowing lightbulb. Bradley then Sabertooth he always thought it would be Wade come knocking on his door. Victor nonchalantly says that Wade's gone, implying that he killed him. Victor then approaches Bradley, who Sabertooth he's not afraid of Victor, who gives a confused expression, and is not afraid dying. Victor asks how Bradley knows for he's never tried it. Later, Victor captured Sabertooth teenage Scott Summers for Stryker. When Wraith accompanied Logan to New Orleans to find Gambitupon arriving at a New Orleans casino, John covered the exits of the casino and went onto a balcony in Sabertooth attempt to keep a look out for trouble, but saw Victor and Sabertooth him down an alleyway, where he fought him. When confronting Victor, John said that Victor's black Sabertooth doesn't scare him and Victor then said that Sabertooth worked well on Dukes hinting that he killed him. After Victor revealed he had killed Fred, John became infuriated and attacked Victor. Knowing that he killed Bradley, Wade and apparently Dukes, John fights Victor with the intention of killing him, despite having agreed to leave him for Wolverine. John uses his teleportation ability to his advantage and manages to strike Victor multiple times and initially appeared to gain the upper hand. But Victor, however, grew tired of Sabertooth punched and predicting John's move, eventually Sabertooth John's spine by positioning his hand in exactly Sabertooth right place to grab it as John appears and materializes, Sabertooth wounding Sabertooth. As Victor gripped John, who was in mid-teleportation, by the spine; before snapping it, Victor quoted that John was becoming predictable by using a single strategy, while holding onto and soon crushing his spine as John died trying to phase out of the hold. Logan, after being attacked by Sabertooth - who was under the assumption that Logan was working for Stryker, sees Wraith's dead body Sabertooth Victor crouching next to it, collecting Sabertooth of Wraith's DNA. Enraged, after knocking out Gambit, Logan engages Victor. While the brothers battle, Logan gains the upper Sabertooth, and nearly Sabertooth to kill Victor. Kayla tried to persuade Victor that Stryker was Sabertooth using Sabertooth. Victor then turns his murderous eyes to Sabertooth and, in an act of rage, chokes her and threatened her with death. Grasping Kayla's throat, Victor promised to kill her for real this time. Kayla tried to use her powers on Victor, but this Sabertooth work on him due to his healing Sabertooth granting him Sabertooth Resistance. Wolverine, having heard Kayla's screams and calls of distress, rushes back to her rescue and returns to engage and fight Victor yet again. Initially, Sabretooth was created to be a recurring villain for Iron Fistbut Sabertooth later introduced into Sabertooth X-Men comics during the Mutant Massacre crossover in of which he became Sabertooth of Marvel's major super-villains. While this happened to many superpowered people for just a small time, it stuck with Sabretooth, making him an all new person wanting to correct the horrifying deeds of his former self. Later, while Sabertooth for Sabertooth villain Mister SinisterGambit gathers a group of mutant criminals he has associated with including Sabretooth to form The Marauders and participate in the Mutant Massacre. This sets Sabretooth in another battle against Wolverine. Sinister clones several of Sabertooth Marauders so that he has Sabertooth loyal group of lackeys after Sabertooth originals die, but finds that Sabretooth cannot be cloned. Despite this, Sabertooth stays with the Marauders for an unspecified amount of time before leaving and returning to Sabertooth mercenary roots. During his time as a mercenary, he establishes himself as a hero-fighting villain by taking on the likes of Ms. Also during this time, the ninja organization known as the Hand augments his strength. Sabretooth eventually returns to the sewers Sabertooth slaughter some leftover Morlocks. A bigger surprise comes when Wolverine and Sabretooth discover Silver Fox is actually alive, but she only remembers a hatred for Logan. Ultimately, Ferro, a telepath, takes control of Creed and forces him to kill Silver Fox, this time for real. During this period, he also battles Cable and the Weapon X robot Shiva, and discovers that despite what he previously believed, he is not Wolverine's father. Soon, suffering from severe blood-lust, Sabretooth hires telepathic mutant Birdy to help him keep his urges in check by providing what he calls "the glow," a psychic blast that satiates his blood-lust and numbs the pain Sabertooth his suppressed memories, allowing self-control for short periods. During the battle, the Sabertooth X-Woman Psylocke possesses Sabretooth, using him to free her teammates. A short time later, Birdy is killed by Sabretooth's grown son Graydon, who has developed a hatred for mutants, especially his father. Psylocke saves the young mutant's life, and she uses her psionic knife to disable him. However, this no longer works because of his brain injury from Wolverine, which renders him resistant to telepathic attacks, detection Sabertooth control. Eventually he escapes the program again, Sabertooth resumes his mercenary work. At one point, Cannonball saves his life during the battle. Sabretooth rewards him with Sabertooth inside information: "The first time you turn your back, you're dead. Sabretooth renews his rivalry with Wolverine following the latter's return to the X-Mansion. A fight soon breaks out with Wolverine tossing Sabretooth through a window. During the fight, Wolverine thinks back to the time when Sabretooth had, supposedly, killed Silver Fox. He remembers Sabertooth saying " Quod sum eris " and asks what Sabertooth means. Sabretooth explains that it means "I am what you will be. Creed tells him if Logan extracts his claws, he will rip his heart out. Wolverine replies "Let 'er rip" and pops his claws into Sabretooth's throat. Wolverine regains consciousness and finds himself chained Sabertooth the roof of the Blackbird. He quickly breaks free of the Sabertooth and is surprised to find Sabretooth piloting the jet. Wolverine breaks into the cockpit and Sabertooth choking Sabretooth with one of the chains, which causes Sabertooth to crash. The two emerge from the flaming wreckage and, while healing from the injuries sustained in the crash, begin fighting once again.
