Marked for GloryMARK 15:21-47 by His Ransom

"For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” MARK 10:45

Those walking through life oblivious to what God was doing around them and for them. (vv. 21-26) B. Those who were aware of their sins and those who were ignorant of their trespasses. (vv. 27-30) C. Those of prominence who believed in God but refused to recognize His face. (vv. 31-32a)

“came ... to serve” A. Jesus’s redemptive work addressed sin in the face of a holy God. (vv. 33-35) B. The Savior suffered the maximum pain, refusing relief. (v. 36) C. Jesus laid down His life voluntarily as the payment for human sin. (vv. 37-39; Jn 10:18)

TO WHOM WAS THE RANSOM PAID? Satan’s ownership? (Col 1:13) Death’s grip? (Heb 2:15) God’s justice. (Rom 5:9)

III. Mark certified through the details that the ransom price had been paid in full and ______. (vv. 42-47)
