Join Me Saturday, September 17 for the Annual Richmond Shoreline Coastal Cleanup

I’m excited to once again sponsor our annual Coastal Cleanup along the Richmond Shoreline, starting at Marina Bay. This tradition is a great chance to meet new neighbors while beautifying our wonderful shore.

This is also a chance to learn about the important wetlands restoration efforts supported by the Restoration Authority (http://sfbayrestore.org/) of which I’m vice- chair. One of the main areas of the cleanup, and Stege Marsh, is an example of community –driven restoration work that greatly enhances the health and beauty of the Bay.

Note: This year, due to construction along the in Richmond, we’re meeting at a new place: the cul de sac end of Bayside Drive where it meets Meeker Slough.

Our traditional free lunch will still be served at Shimada Friendship Park at noon.
