Best’s Great Western 2012 ‘13 Acre Vineyard’

The first vineyard you will encounter at the entrance of Best’s. Consisting mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon and smaller quantities of , and Petit Verdot, this vineyard produces tiny amounts of intensely flavoured fruit. Only produced when the conditions are right to fully ripen the Cabernets and attain the balance and complexity achieved with the other varieties.

The last time this was produced was in 2005 as in November 2006 the vineyard was hit with a severe frost when the temperature plummeted to -7ºC. It has taken this long for the vines to recover and regain their balance.
