Building Science/Envelope Consultant – Entry Level

Morrison Hershfield's Building Science Group provides planning, design, and construction administration services for a vast array of building types and uses. We are currently seeking an entry level Building Science/Envelope Consultant to complement our Building Sciences team in our Salt Lake City office. This position will focus on delivery of building envelope related construction document reviews, building condition assessments/evaluations, site reviews relative to the building envelope, , and field performance testing. Due to expanding business opportunities in Salt Lake City and elsewhere within the company, this position offers potential for growth in the areas of technical / professional development and project management.

Responsibilities • Assist writing proposals and establishing financial budgets. • Perform project contract drawing reviews (drawings, specifications, shop drawings, material submittals, etc.). • Attend pre-construction meetings and document discussions. • Review and report on project mock-ups.

• Perform periodic site visits and utilize a site visit reporting system to identify and update action items. • Perform field testing to confirm building enclosure performance (water, air leakage, EFVM, infrared testing, etc.). • Assist in small project management and coordination. • Participate in continuing education. • Periodic out of state travel. • Perform various office related tasks.
