NHL Street Program Guide 2021

Franklin Recreation is offering indoor NHL Street Hockey for all boys and girls ages 6-14 years old. Jack Geromini (Flag and NHL Street Hockey Coordinator) will lead our Indoor NHL Street Hockey program. The mission of Franklin Recreation Department is to provide opportunities to Franklin youth in a fun, learning environment.

This guide will give you an understanding of what to expect with our Street Hockey program. The program will begin Tuesday, March 16, 2021.

Coaches: Our Recreation Guru himself; Jack Geromini. Tyler and Ben Bellen and Michael Gates, our coaches host plenty of knowledge about our street hockey program.

Season Highlights: The first session will be a skills clinic to teach stick handling, passing, shooting, goaltending and defense. The second session will feature a shootout competition.

Practice/Game Site: Franklin Recreation Department Gym (275 Beaver Street). When you pull into our parking lot, drive around back for parking and gym entrance.

Practice Time: Tuesday or Wednesdays 5:00-6:00pm, 6:15-7:15pm, 7:30-8:30pm.

First Game: Tuesday, March 16 or March 17 depending on your team.

Final Game: Wednesday, April 14, 2021.

General Program Information Equipment: Sneakers and shorts/sweats should be worn in addition to the team shirt (provided as part of the program). We will provide all the gear; sticks, balls, goalie gear, shin/arm pads and other necessary equipment. Players can bring their own equipment as well. Eligibility: Boys and girls ages 5-14 years old may participate in the program. 5 players per team, 4v4 format with no goalies this year.

We will notify everyone via email if we have to cancel a session.
