THE STAMPEDE: Over the last two seasons, Cornell’s rushing attack has simply been one of the most dominant in the country. The Big Red has averaged 215.4 rushing yards per game with 40 scores on the ground. In 2005, the Big Red averaged 248.6 yards per game, good for 10th nation- ally in the Football Championship Subdivision. Last year, that average was 182.1 yards per game, also ranking among the nation’s top 25.

200 YARDS AND A CLOUD OF DUST: The Big Red football team has posted six 200-yard rush- ing games in each of the last two years after having just five such games in the previous six years combined.

DEFENSE BUILT RUN TOUGH: Cornell’s run defense ranked second nationally at 88.3 yards per game after allowing a total of 33 yards on 59 carries in its final three games of 2005.
