2016 Campfire Memories 25 Original Painting “Thundering Herd” L19 by Laurel Barbieri

Description: One-of-a-kind Original Acrylic Painting by Laurel Barbieri Measures 65 X 35

Laurel Barbieri, Dallas Safari Club 2016 Featured Artist of the year, is inspired by nature at its most intense. Laurel’s artwork is collected by private and corporate collectors world-wide.

Laurel’s painting “Thundering Herd” depicts the welcome arrival of the American migration and its challenge to Native Amer- ican warriors. With their hunting skills honed to perfection, the stakes couldn’t be higher. It is life and death, or worse, a crippling injury. Embroiled in a chaotic high-speed stampede, the dust so thick it’s hard to see, horse and rider have a single focus: Drive the stampede! The two become one. Young warrior, determination, and superb horse and horsemanship are all critical as they steer the frenzied bison off the edge of the cliff.

The “Thundering Herd’s” landscape enhances the sacred exhila- Contact Info: ration and beauty of the buffalo hunt, as warrior and horse merge Laurel Barbieri with the bison they hunt, all of them at one with each other and the 503-369-7557 landscape itself. www.LaurelBarbieri.com [email protected]
